Topic: New player here

Hi! I just started playing after a hitatus since 2006! I am glad to see tha game is still here and not much has changed. I started playing at what I belive is the "newbie" system. I remembered when I started that we had these beginner families where the head of the family was experienced players that helped new players.

It was a great way to start the game and learn. Since it is such a long time since I played I was hoping for this learning experience again. When I started playing at the Supernova system (it was the only one I could choose), I started in a family of my own and saw a lot of single families. Is this system no longer in effect? Or am I in the wrong galaxy?

You joined the right galaxy. Supernova has an in built feature for new players where it shows them through a bit. The odd galaxy you're taking about was virgo, and it closed many many moons ago.
