I think it would be a dam good idea if someone in power wrote a detailed thread about:

HOW TO ADVERTISE IC AS A PLAYER:

- Suggestions on How
- Suggestions on Where
- What Players Can Do
- What Players Should Not Do
- Basic to Advanced Stuff
- Links to Useful Sites or Facts

I have noticed with IC you get 2 reactions from people:

1. OH all of that has been said before

2. WHAT?  What are you talking about

Yes some long standing players have heard it all before (I'm not convinced they have tried it all before) but they have at least heard it all before (but there are a lot that haven't)

So perhaps a link on the home page

IF YOU WANT TO ADVERTIZE IC > LOOK HERE

This should be a very visible thing (sticky or home page material)

That way any player who get a notion of advertizing or helping IC can click and link and.......

BOOOOOOM 101 ideas on how + whats probably best to avoid and so on

Why don't you try this idea, or this idea seeing some players think "wow I did not think of that, I could do that" and so on.
