Topic: MUST READ!! - A way to bring back IC!!!

Okay, i noticed most of the conversations about making the game grow is through ads, youtube etc..... These are considered to be hard and unattainable things to do for an average player. However, there are some easy things that would definitely work.

First off, I will talk about the REAL reason why the game died down alot. It is because all the people who played IC  in early 2000s when the game boomed were teenagers who had time to play games. However, all of us have all grown to adults. We are the remaining mature gamers I guess ... lol. Due to our age and disconnection to the younger generation, this game promotion did not continue, as when we were younger we would introduce it to friends etc. Now the key to getting the game up is to get the name IC out to the teenage crowd. Here are the easy things we can do this by:

1. Make accounts in various other browser games and message, post in forums etc about IC. Don't spam though! Do not make out the game to be some sort of money scam game.....

2. If you use other forums etc... put a signature with your posts with the IC game site and info at the bottom of each post.

3. Goto gaming forum sites and post about IC.

These are easy things people can do if your really interested in making the game bigger..... Lets make the IC community grow again and take action. I personally have started posting and messaging people in another game. Through this i guarantee we can get at least 30 people.... If there is a hardcore 20 active players telling 100 people, then 2000 people would know about the game. From the 2000 game loving crowd, we should get at least 10% checking out the site....

I disagree.....

AOP does have some good points, for many years people have talked about introducing more players to IC and if EACH PLAYER did something to promote the game:


- Told their friends
- Told their work mates
- Told local teenager or young family members
- Put a A4 flyer in the notice board at work or school or university
- Ask a coffee shop if you can put one of their notice board


Where I live we have the biggest bus company in the UK I am thinking of asking them if I could put some (easy peel) sticker on their buses for about 1 week.    Sure they would peel straight off no damage at all, but sure I have a sticker printer and could just walk down to the bus yard place and there are thousands of buses and I happen to know someone who works there anyway, in one week alone is fair to say thousands and thousands of people would see said stickers.

Another one is in night club bathrooms (as funny as it sounds) but in a lot of nightclubs there are always flyers / sticker / junk plaster all over the walls, again a few nice sticker placed in the right spot could see thousands and thousands of people walking away thinking (Whats Imperial Conflict?) sure maybe only 10% of them would remember the next day lol, but still spreading the word and bringing new players in.


Guess my overall point is you would be very surprised what people will let you get away with if you just ask nicely big_smile excuse me can I please put this in your shop window for a few weeks, can I please leave a stack of these little flyers on your reception table, sure sure do what you like big_smile done it loads of times for other things even just walk into a university building and walk straight up to the security guys and say.

"Hi guys having a good day?  Don't suppose you mind me dropping some of these players off in your cafeteria area do you?  Oh you don't thanks guys" big_smile  then walk in and plonk your flyers down with 100'000 different student using that facility weekly or whatever.


I will point out as well that the owners / builders / people who run IC have nothing to worry about as they have not asked.   Is like someone spray painting a NIKE symbol on a wall, Nike can not get told off for that and the same applies with IC.   They have deniability anyway.

What do you mean someone dropped off 1000 flyers about this game IC sorry have no idea about that at all its nothing we have done or sent must be some lunatic player as we have a lot of them tongue

I am not interested in making the game bigger, I am interested in making the game

Better -> more playability
Solid  -> free of bugs (at least important bugs)
Fairer -> So new players arent farmed in their 1st round and dont run away

Only then we should be interested in doing the game bigger.

About the abuse of big fams are allowed to do on small fams, despite the big gap between them, I wrote an idea days ago and no one even kommented about it, when it is the SOLUTION to make a fairer game.

Ideas like this I posted arent even taken into akkount bkause we have only ONE developer.  So if you really want to help the game with advertising, you should 1st look for new developers that agree to spend time & efforts here and not being payed.  But even then, they wouldnt be trusted by the administrator Stefan, that wants the game for himself only and will sink to the bottom with it.

The only GOOD idea right now is to make it an OPEN kode game, or buy the game to Stefan, or steal it!!

would you really waste your time with flyers about a game that kan be shut down at anytime, and that has nothing to do with the kurrent likes of teenagers about gaming ???
The game is an strategikal rpg obsolete style of playing, I kan tell you for sure most of teenagers wont last more than one days here, they'll join a gal and go inaktive, and we have already too many inaktive akkounts.  However, if you target the advertising to adult freaks of strategy old shit, then you have a real zhanze, the player base wont grow a lot, but the ones staying will play and enjoy it.

What I'm saying is, if you want this game for teenagers then you have to do it a shoot-em-up game, and that will not happen bekause its not IK anymore, and requires a lot of job and programming skills our admins dont have.
