Well, that does not fill me with confidance in my own republican party. A republican who'd rather get a PHOTO shot of a democrat holding a book, which the picture taken by itself out of context, would earily look like she didn't know what she was doing.
She's not a computer programmer. Like a bunch of governments and military high ranking morons, they issue orders, and those orders are to be carried out. "No discussion. No arguement. You have been given an order and you will carry it out. I don't care HOW you get it done, get it done."
YOU ALL know this to be true, moreso than any other living fool within and without the United States of America.
When a politician is given an order, it's usually from their bosses. The bosses don't give a rats ass how the job gets done, as long as the job gets done.
I'll give the woman a benefit of the doubt. Because right now, Obama's boys were going, "if anything goes wrong you have a scapegoat to blame". The woman of course will be dragged through the coals and fires of a republican chaired committee, and chances are her political career is officially over with. Their ego's bruise to easily, and they start hiding in the private sector job offers. If any.
Still. It takes years to create a program. Fine tune it. Iron it out. Find the strengths and weaknesses, and work on those areas more diligently. Time is a commodity to a politician.
Politicians who wish to put up roadblocks to laws, will create committee's, who then are given YEARS to study the problem. And when they finally release the info, they only release it after they lose elections. When they win elections, all that data is carefully hidden if it's embarresing to their own party. But if it bites the other party in the ass, more power to them.
So, the politicians put a time limit, on a "Integrated health care site". that needed far more time for the programmers to work on.
In vietnam we lost several platoons who were ordered to take certain hills that were numbers on a map. Higher ranking officers ordered those platoons to take those hills, but in the middle of the engagement issued new orders, DURING combat, to retreat and attack a different hill. After going to the new hill, they were half way up, and then ordered to go back to the OTHER hill.
Same thing occured with the computer website. The programmers were given instructions to add new material searches to a system that was not fully even hammered out. Some of the changes going up to the last minute before launch, without the chance to fully test it's integrity.
I don't blame the woman in full, for carrying out orders. I will blame her for not puting forth her objections to the time table for full public view. I will not blame the programmers, who were given unrealistic time limits, and not given the full scope of what the site was to do, because the marching orders kept changing from hour to hour, day to day, week upon week.
I blame the people, and the COMMITTEE who put a time limit on a program, which is never finished until it's finished. And only a computer programmer will tell you when it's finished. Not a President, not a republican committee, not congress or senators, not a five star general.
Only a programmer will tell you when it's done. A clock, should not have been placed in charge of this massive project.
