Topic: Map changes!

It has been a bit quiet on this front for a bit, but here are some updates:

* The galactic map now has a integrated attack section.
* The various popups have been removed in favor of inline dialogs.
* Transfer (and the new attack) have sliders as an option to manually entering the numbers of units to send.
* New planet pictures, courtesy of Primo.
* The system view now marks friendlies and enemies with colors. It also greys out unexplorable planets, and highlights explorable ones.

And possibly some other things that escape me currently.

If you were logged in while these changes happened, you may need to reload the map for it to function correctly.

Re: Map changes!

You may also need to clear cache for everything to show properly smile Only saying this because I had too.

<&InSaNe> so for reference tco has a ticklish bumhole
<@SerialBusiness> good to know. I will make a note of this

Re: Map changes!

The map should now be fully compatible with Android devices. Previously it worked, but scrolling was very sluggish. My fairly old SG2 now handles it with ease.

Re: Map changes!

The map system view is now used throughout the game instead of the old map's various views (system, planet, explore, attack, transfer, etc). As a consequence, the old map serves no purpose and is entirely gone. It was about time.

Re: Map changes!

It is now possible to demolish buildings from the map again.

Re: Map changes!

The link to the old map is now back on the Empire Overview, and it uses the same system/planet view (etc) as the modern map.

Re: Map changes!

Small updates today; the default lists, except for specific family, now maintain state between views. A few bugs with the options not maintaining state or outright working (grid) were fixed.

Re: Map changes!

Just to be clear - the old map is not intended for (or at all tested yet on) desktop. It is only meant as a last resort for mobile use in case you have problems. Notably, many Android users still have problems. For desktop use our normal map should be fine for the vast majority, based on usage statistics. It has been tested and verified to work on Firefox, IE10, Chrome, and Safari. Your mileage may of course vary.
