Chavez is dying.

The left here wanted (And has) to name landmarks and roads after him. They saw him as an inspiration and a leader of their movement.

He has destroyed their currency (it's entering nose dive)

He has destroyed the non-oil economy.

The poor are worse off now than before him.

There is more impoverished under him.




And yes... he is dying. He has had 3 surgeries recently, one in a week after previous (in an emergency flight). He has 'appointed' a successor and everyone expects his cancer is terminal.



There is an expectation of even civil war after his death. He was their 'savior' and he destroyed them. Why does the left like celebrities and idol worship people so much?

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

Chavez is part of what we call the "new left." They frequently include postmodernists, counter culture, socialists and anarchists etc. Liberals are called the "old left." The two don't get along very well. For the most part, old leftists want to tame capitalism not replace it.

But you are right. New leftists have a habit of forming cults of personality and it's rather amusing.

The "new left" is mostly the old left not lying as much about their endgame. Their votes attest to this.

He's a pussy compared to Stalin. He deserves death.

On a more serious note, I do fear this people much more as I do the liberals. Most liberals still believe in democracy, so chances are bigger their actions can be reversed.

A mixture of ignorance and Lack of political knowledge on their side.

Obama, despite trying, would have a hard time making the US into a dictatorship before he is moved out of office. Chavez proly had far less problems with it.
