Topic: Qualifictions of a skilled attacker

well since things are about over in andro i thot i wud list some things that attackers shud keep in mind as far as ur skill of making ur families as safe as u can.


Now these are not gonna be my ideas cause I absolutely dont agree with them but since I am told over and over that these things arent hard nor do they take much skill thus they are not very important. So the things listed below shud never be a high priority as an attacker.

These things below i have actually been told are not good attacking skills.

1st - Never as an attacker do yama's everyday and stop other fams from getting their attackers in and around ur fam. If you do you will be considered an unskilled attacker because you shud be able to allow all other fam attackers in ur area and at any point they decide to attack ur bankers or you, you shud be skilled enuf (even if u dont have the same infra) to beat them away from ur fam. ofc this means as an attacker you really have nothing to do all round except try and set up on the other fams that dont follow this plan themselves.

2nd - Tell your bankers to explore into many unprotected areas as possible so they dont just sit around and have no fun in the round. In other words make ur bankers work to keep what they have. (ofc im not sure why the fam even needs an attacker thenif the banker is supposed to protect themselves).

3rd - Make Naps with all the fams that have the most well known and skilled attackers so they can get into your area easy and kill ur fam off without much problem since they dont follow these ideas themselves u wil not be able to hurt them anyway. after all this will be the only way to prove ur an elite skilled atacker worth anything to your fam.

4th - Last dont be ubber active because once again that just means ur active and not really skilled.

so in short to be a really skilled attacker;

dont check for intruders
tell bankers to explore into unsafe areas
nap the best fams that no doubt will have better infra than you
dont be active

I have actually had the so called elite skilled attackers tell me these are not things needed if you are a skilled attacker.

ofc im not sure why any of them have never allowed me to just come into their area and set up since with all their skill they shud invite me in.

I mean if you cant get to the enemy then invite them to you.

and since people dont get in on me too often; why not just let me come to you?
quit killing my planets b4 they are portalled and then show the great skill of stopping any damage to ur fam smile

no one told you that, you're just too blinded by your arrogance to understand what they actually told you. the things that you mentioned above, that is wot makes a player an attacker. not a skilled attacker, just an attacker. if you dont do those things, you're a n00b.

over and over you have boasted this round about how you managing to do these things has made you great. lemme give you an example which will hopefully simplify the matter and make it easier to understand for sum1 like you:

take a footballer(soccer player for you americans). if he cant run, pass, or kick the ball, then he's a shit player. if a player CAN run, pass and kick the ball, that makes him able to play the game, but that does NOT make him a skilled player.

1st - Making yamas everyday is great, but more importantly having your family check shares everyday is better.  I usually check yamas now and then, but most of my core clearing i use my vip for. 

2nd - You should never have your bankers explore somewhere unsafe, but they should try and keep moderate spread with attackers so passing on planets is easy, if a banker is active and always checking shares, they can't be troubled. Bankers should protect themselves, defence wise, agent wise everything.  Theres no reason why they cant, unless they are retarded.  Why have bankers if they cant protect themselves.

3rd - It's not about skilled attackers, its about confidence and performing under pressure.  Share wars are good fun, you should try it one day instead of just playing with a stick.

4th - Activity is a must.

Arch your example is ok if you are English - which I suppose you are since you go to uni there (although i went to uni in England as well at some point and am most certainly not English)? Say if you were Estonian like me then if a player can run and pass - and even manages to kick the ball in some situations then he is indeed an enlightened jedi master of the game and a skilled one big_smile - lets just say the state of our football can only improve.

i just had a share war and guess what, we won it, so whats the next thing i hear, oh, well noir just made a bad mistake, so its like no matter what is done if it goes well an excuse is made as to why i did well, and if i dont allow those kind of wars then i still cant play.

and its not even about whether I can play or not; Its 100% about the fact that some guys in here make stupid statements about what skill is and isnt and who has it and who doesnt (points to certain person above)

There are more than just one way to have skill as an attacker in IC and its not limited to just someone that can fight share wars.
Attackers that keep their fam safe from enemy are just as skilled as anyone else.

and if someone makes ANY football team they have skill period what a laugher to think an unskilled person would make a football team pfff.

I actually do believe u are a cry baby shadow, since other people's opinion affects u so badly that you have to make the most retarded post in the place where it doesn't even belong proves how easy it is to rattle ur cage with comments about ur skill and how easy u become distressed enough to start whining to the whole community taht u were told that u are a bad attacker. How about instead of whining u go a prove u are a good player without having to boast about it by saying you won a shares war and just do it every time and every round consistently and that way u will be noticed as a good player wihtout the need to say u are good. Do players like Lev Yashin and Pele and Maradonna need to say they are good footballers? No. They just came in, played their best and are remmebered as the best players in the game. So plz don't act like a child and quit ur crying.

what the hell does this have to do with what i said? where did i mention teams? a footballer can be anyone, including you or me. my point is, being able to do the basic requirements of the game (whether football or ic or sumthing else) does not make you a skilled player of that game.

I didn't forget, i just didn't bother. There is a placemark/stub/whatever automatically created by the forum, i would have thought that was enough.

This is NOT strategy, and i will NOT argue about it. If you have any further complaints, join #mod and request to conversate with someone of higher power (I suggest either KT, Primo or Nolio, for example). When you are done discussing it in private, keep it to yourself.
