Re: The Einstein Jump

The Einstein Jump
The Einstein Jump is designed to be used to give a popper a strong advantage start as well as be low cost in endurium. I used a pop bonus race because I figured no one would trust a Rev to do the jump nor could I enjoy some of my ops.

A 50% pop bonus player doubles population every 10 ticks, a 0% bonus player every 14 ticks. For a popper start it means very little lost income to go 0%. A popper makes (Population of planet * race bonus mod * TO bonus / pop modifier). There is 1 hidden building per empire so the TO bonus can never be a true 200%. I made 9, some will reccomend 7.

So our math is 8800 * 1.5 * (1 + (9 / 10 ) ) / 30 = 836 gc a tick.

For this we spent
Exploration Cost = 1000 + (#planets * 1500) + (distance * 100)
Infra Cost = 9 * 200gc | 9 * 15 iron | 9 * 1 endu
Transport Cost = 800gc * 4 | 30 iron * 4 | 10 endu * 4
Explorer Cost = 10,000gc * (#planets) | 10 food | 10 iron | 5 endurium
Attack Cost = 500 + (100*distance) + (100* #PlanetsOwned)
Soldier Cost = 100 * (#planets - 9) | 1 endu * (#planets - 9)

GC 285100
Iron 465
Endu 164

The Income is pretty decent, math is: (#Planets * 8800) / 30 * 1.5 * (1+(2*(9/10))) or 21736 a tick when full. Upkeep is food and 9gc for infra. Food needed will be 16720 a tick, which should cost an average of .15 (2508).

This compares to 2099.2 gc a tick from 164 cash factories. Yes we spent far more gc up front, but we made out on iron and endu.

Now starting income is NOT that high. It takes 38 ticks to get full, plus 5 for cf's on exploring bankers, expoes come in tick six, one for expo, two for complete captures.

This gives us a hard line of 47 ticks. I shall therefore use 48 for examples sake.

Two strategies will go opposite of mine. Standard infra and a TO start strat on two bankers. The standard start will set up one banker with 8 planets explored on tick 7.

Now it is a little known fact that infra can double every 24 ticks until empire OB or planet OB becomes an issue. The ratio infra is 125 cf, 59 mf, 10 ref, 1 occult, 50rc and 1 hf.  At BOR with 4 bankers this means 1000 cf, 472 mf, 80 ref, 8 occults, 8 hf, and 400 rcs.

Now most fams build a bit more than that on the resource side, explore a few banker planets, yada. This is equalizing the long build structure of resource buildings and getting space to equalize back with cfs. Literally many of the most effective plans will end up quite near (in production and made), at tick 48, the following: 4000 cf's, 1888 mf's, 320 refs, 32 occults (this one part is low for most fams, who would probably be more near 60 at least), 32 HFs, and 1600 RCs (split on attackers and bankers usually). Now variations exist... I for one went whole rounds not allowing RCs at BoR as leader. Some fams have five bankers, some three. But this is a good median.

The question for a TO build is... does the endu used for to's give more or less income overall? Well in 16 ticks the income is 1484 a tick. This is worth 116 cf's. Even if you calculate endu for an explorer, a transport, 2 solds... this is far more effective than a normal run.... because spare endu can fb a planet asap.

Then we come to the Einstein Jump. I used 164 Endu, so this is a reduction in size of our bor.  A family of 12 has 3000 endu. So we reduce the initial infra by 5.5%. Now I did spend a shitload more gc also... and I will give myself a furher penalty for arguments sake, of 10% total.

We then get 3600 CFs (versus 4000), 1699 MFs (1888), 29 HF (more food actually needed, but later... versus 32), 288 refs (320) and  28 occults (32).

The difference? The cash income (after purchasing food) is the equivalent of 1502 more cash factories at tick 48. Derivative cash on hand per tick while the pop grows means we can buy infra above and beyond as well. This adds a full 35%+ to income, gives us early planets, and is only a good thing.

We do have to buy food or use excess cash for hf's. However this is already accounted for.

The Einstein Jump was a wild success and if I had just built wizzies it would have been superb. I then went to Canada and suffered a virus (no Verizon stores in Canada amazingly, lol). This cost us most of our lead.

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!
