Re: Employers laying workers off

I refuse to let the other thread be hijacked.

Meh hit post on accident.

Anyhow many employers are laying employees off and sending notices of pending layoffs.

A lot of defense workers got notice though Obama said through his agencies "we don't think your required to send those notices so don't pls even though the law says to. We will pay your penalties and lawsuits if you listen to us"

But the layoffs are huge and happening

Some resteraunts have insurance policies. These policies do not meed obamacare mandate levels.

So the resteraunts are making all employees part time so the employees have to buy obamacare. Otherwise they go out of business.

Less hours, higher costs.

Other businesses are on the edge. They are near losing money, so they are sending notices if higher taxes they will layoff most employees.

Obama has ruined our economy,

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!

Re: Employers laying workers off

7,8% unemployment rate

The rates been on a relative decline for some time now.

It just seems to me like the worst part for america is over and now growth is starting again.

Re: Employers laying workers off

Actually that rate is in error

It appears a major state, which has not been named, forgot to send in numbers needed to include them in unemployment rate.

Consider carefully.... in 50 years only twice has there been a .5% chance for the better. Once under Reagan with huge economic growth in all statistics (such as commodities, investments, consumer confidence, and such) where the reverse is true for the Obama one.

Aka this 'wonderfully timed' error is a bad indicator.

Re: Employers laying workers off

Dirty Iluvatar,

If so many people hadn't given up looking up for work--if our labor force was as large as it was a few years ago--unemployment would be much higher. Many people are underemployed, also not reflected in your BS number. The unemployment figure you cite is intentionally misleading and dishonest.

This is the slowest "recovery" since the great depression. Defining stagnation as "growth" doesn't make it positive.
