This is the second of my "Driving it home" posts.

The United States has tinkered with socialism since the first colonialists.

The very first settlement had a policy of sharing the food made by all. At first it worked, then people decided to mooch of the production of ohers. They nearly died except the mayor declared each family could keep what they produced.

Survival ensued.

But this post is not about white men and women. It is about the disaster brought by socialism upon the black communities.

Yes I used the word disaster.

Modern black males suffer unemployment 2 times the national average.

Modern black children most often grow up with only 1 parent.

Modern black children are far more likely to drop out.

More murders are committed per capita by and against blacks.

Black college students have lower grades than white counterparts

A black family is far more likely to live in poverty than a white family.

A black person will, on average, die far sooner than a white person.

All of this despite the advantages socialism tries to give them to promote equal outcomes (called Equal Opportunity here, what a misnomer).

They are guaranteed per capita more college degrees than other groups.

They are given higher amounts of funds for their schools.

They are given preference for section 8 and other housing programs.

They are given preference for social assistance programs.

They are given preference in bidding for Government contracts.

They have more funding available for college educations.

They are given preference on a lot of grants.

And they vote for liberals who offer them even more:

More money is spent on healthcare for society in their regions

More community outreach programs exist in their regions

They have more access to assistance from a variety of social programs.

They have all these advantages given to them and they cannot pull out. Some, like Decimus (based on his previous comments) believe it is genetics or is something else that will never change.

Some, like me, believe this is because they are lured by the false advantages of socialism and will be until they are shown that it is a true disadvantage.

Modern Socialism is destructive.

Take the following cities: Detroit, Chicago, DC, Los Angeles, San Fransisco, and San Berdino.

High crime, lowering levels of lifestyles, Governments going bankrupt (or having debt issues), drug issues, and Democrat control going back decades

Compare this to Republican stronghold cities. The difference is remarkable.

40 years of failure with Democrats should be waking them up. Their conditions are not improving... it is declining. I think it is time to wake up and wonder why their utopias are instead Ghetto's.
