Re: Einstein to join ISETF's think tank
This thread is my attempt to convince Einstein to put aside his political career and join the International Sociological Effects of Technology Foundation's (ISETF) think tank.
Einstein. I know your heart is in the right place in your desire to get involved in politics. At the end of the day, I realise all you want to do is make a positive difference in the world. This is great, and the foundation could really use people with your heart on board.
The problem I see with your political career (like most political careers) is that you won't end up making that much of a difference. This is because you are under the impression that government can actually make positive change to society. This may be true to an extent, but, really, it is technology that ends up making much more of a difference.
You see, Einstein, government is simply one technology among countless others that affect our world, a small part of overall scheme of things. I tend to think you want to make more of a difference than government ever could. This is why I would really like it if you would put aside your political career and join up with the ISETF as a founding member (getting out of politics would be necessary, I'm afraid, as the foundation is going to be a non-partisan, non-governmental, non-profit organization).
So, Einstein, what do you say?
