Ok, so we all know Virgo was a less than average training tool used in this game. And we also know that the guide is outdated.

However, something I do notice in almost every game is a training module that teaches you how to do each role in steps.

So, my suggestion!

Have different galaxies created (1 for each style and maybe also for some specific races like Pax and Pop bankers) so that a player can join that specific thing to learn how to do something.

Have the round last say...a week!

Give each person exactly what they need to learn that role. So for instance, if it is a banking galaxy give them enough resources to build their HP, send exploration ships, build more buildings, and start getting into TO's and research a bit.

For ressers basically the same idea....

For attackers have them start with a set amount of ressies and exploration ships. Make it enough so that they can build a decent fleet with which to practice (or start them with one from the beginning)

The one key factor here is we would still need Tutors in each of those fams in order to help them...but making it specialized would be a whole lot easier I think. As a tutor you can aid people to do "jumps" to train them or station random amounts of fleet on planets for attackers to practice running figs, running ground, busting ports, etc....

Just my personal opinion that it could be really good and if a player doesnt want to be an attacker or resser they just sign up to learn how to bank. and then later if they feel like doing training on how to be a attacker they can sign up for it.

On a side note: maybe in the "awards" part of your profile have them receive an award for completing a specific training module. Each module could have certain tasks they are required to complete prior to graduating.

This can be expanded on a lot I am sure as this is just something I am coming up with and writing down in 10 minutes....
