The destruction of IC.....................

I know that IC is on the brink of destruction with its ever declining number, how ever I think have the ability to join multiple galaxies is not the solution and im my view not helping one bit. As all too often now people are joining both MW and PW to only giving really attention to one or the other, never both (there are a odd exception).

With this ability of joining both MW and PW it ruins the rounds of people who choose to play an concentration on one galaxy an to go for the win, as everyone should or to have the best round the can with the team they have, while having fun. But this is impossible to do when ppl only log into their 2nd galaxy to send aid or to build and not to give proper attestation to what the family needs or the situation. the only reason to be be in the 2nd galaxy is just for the sake of being in both MW and PW.

When people concentrate solely on one galaxy they get to know the players in their family better, by participating in family chats and planning. I believe this will lead to friendships and a stronger community, which ill result in the IC numbers to become steady or possible even grow.

However I am not saying not to give the ability to join a HC round like SD while still playing your main galaxy as everyone likes some thing different once in awhile, but MW and PW are the same with the only difference is drafting in my view.

I do admit I am one of those players who is in both MW and PW (Currently), but i like to believe that I am one of those exceptions that tries to give both galaxy attention (This is the 1st time I am in Both MW an PW in a long time). But there are so many families with a strong line up, who are only destined to fail as a few key members do not give the proper attention to that galaxy. It is the ppl who try are the ones who lose, and ultimately leave IC.



I strongly believe the ability to join both Galaxies needs to be re-evaluated, and in my view stopped.


I know some of you believe that there will not be enough players in either galaxies then....so what, the simple solution would be to make smaller maps and less families as has been done in the past.

What are your thoughts on this matter, if you agree please support this thread then and let the ppl know we what an change big_smile

The problem is with lesser numbers farming (in its different variations) seems to increase. When we had numbers of 1k+ players, there were fams 5-10 ranks either side of you that you could look at hitting and still have 80% of the galaxy left at some stage to war if needed be.

By making the gals smaller it will increase the amount of whine in Uni considerably, ultimately pushing more players away from the game.

I understand that inactives arent making things any better but it should come down to them thinking to themselves about whether or not they have time to play two galaxies simultaneously. You will find a lot of players in top fams in both galaxies that are playing ftw will be playing both galaxies simultaneously. It comes down to the time constrained and better management on a personal level imo.

having the odd round of SDHC is fine, but 2 galaxies, when you struggle to fill one is pointless. go to one, bring back virgo, so for any new players, they can learn in peace ofr a few days before the ragers get them

Actually, I like the idea of only joining 1 galaxy (HC the exception)

But feel the better way to do this is to just have the one Galaxy...dont make players choose between the 2 cause then the player pool is too weak.

At this point in MW we already know who the top 4 fams are...everyone knows it...so now all those players in farm fams tend to get less and less inactive and not care as much. Why dont we shorten the rounds? Lower the planet counts...raise the starting resources, and make it more like 6 week rounds so that people can look forward to the next round if they dont have a shot at winning the current one.

Virgo was useless, u learn to build and explore, and barely that. U need actual gameplay and conflict around for new players to gain any experience, pw is the perfect place for that. Mw should be blocked for 2-3 rounds for new registered players, unless they can convince a mod that they won't get assraped and leave the game forever.

@kiwi if you were to stop players joining 2 at same time then i think you would lose half the players in the other gal. most players i see are in both gal. most of the hard core players are in both, but i do agree that one gal will get more attention than the other. and this does spoil the quality of the game for the others. with the numbers dropping lower all the time i just dont see a future for ic. ic needs updating. there's a lot of competition out there.

i love this game and i would hate to see this game be finished.

sigh heres the voice of reason... quite selfish of you to want 1 galaxy...

obviously the devoted people that play PW like the fact that is no draft....

and on the other side of the spectrum where some people enjoy playing with drafts and having a slightly less random factor...

kill 1 galaxy and you cant really satisfy both sides...


make 1 gal rule for each person with the exception of HC and what not... and you risk a galaxy of 5 fams.... probably pw lets be honest.

possibly resulting in even more leaving due to the lack of "fun"

anyway.

ye and now people just get frustrated more and then leave since the game wich is allready under heavy stress has to work through yet another galaxy.

I say that Kiwi99 is right but the mainproblem isnt the number of gals, its the number of new recruits. Problem needs to be solved in that end.

Enough players and only able to join one gal is good. The gal you play in gets full attention and if you get bored or cant spend enough time or whatever the reason is, choose different gal next round.

You can play both PW and MW for simple reasons. 

1. Whenever talk of shutting down PW comes up, the pinwheelers freak out.
2. There are so few "pinwheelers" that it would be pointless to have a galaxy with only them.

FALSE, it would be like an exclusivity club, only for a few 1st class players in their black suits smile

the only thing you mods have to do is something we've been asking for some rounds ago ---> a player pool

then according to the player pool you design the gal, bigger or smaller, #of fams and #of players per fam, etc..
