Topic: IC Hall of fame

I want to start an Imperial Conflict Hall of fame.

What I am asking for today is nominations. Nominations will close Jan 2nd 17:00 gmt 

To nominate someone you need to list your most popular ic nickname for some more then 1 would be nice.

This is for in game achievements  and forum input or anything Ic related improvements

For example to nominate you would go

I am Jets

I nominate Jets for him starting the Pretenders vs Contenders thread.

He also was a decent player

His community inputs have really seperated him.


Now I dont know how many will be accepted in the first class of the hall of fame.

Another class will be accepted at a later time also.

The thing with the hall of fame is everyone doesnt get in.

If we had to only accept 10 players who do you think those 10 should be?

PP dominated enough rounds In the past beta age that I think he would get in.

I like Pie- Did enough outside of the game itself that i think mostly everyone would agree he would get in.

Evael- Being one of the first crazy pop bankers and was the top during his time.

Flint- For His flint jumps changed the way overbuilding came into play. I know he is probally one that many would want to leave out ,but I feel like this was just to huge in Ic history. I never been a huge flint fan also.

Bah Mace was much better than Flint with infra. Mace started the whole OB thing anyways. Mace even had his own website devoted to strategies and tools.

Thakendar, Maniac and Skyring were probably the best 3 attackers ever. Thak was just insane, Maniac started the pure rc/resource based attacking and Skyring was just diabolical with his attacking until you had your home planet left, then Sab it as well so you can't do anything.

Spam i could definatly see mace added instead of flint. The community would most likely accept it much better also. You made some strong valid points there.

I cant argue with your attackers either.In the older version of Ic they were 3 of the most fearless attackers ever.

I tend to disagree spam. Although some of the best yes. But I've beaten, Thakendar and skying.
Mace over flint sure...but jets u should ask a developer to create a HOF. Cuz a thread wont cut it lol

Best attacker ever? There really isn't one...Starstrike would be the closest but I beat him also smile There are Sooooo many names that should be there its ridiculous. Problem is half the community prolly has never heard of these people.

btw Hall of Fame only for players that have quit or also for the onces still playing.

@ chaos usally it would be for players that dont play anymore ,but for a game like this who knows some may choose to play a round or 2. It will be on a case by case basics.

Not sure if a hall of fame commitiee would be better then uni wide vote as everyone doesnt date back as far as others.

@ smaug Yes i believe most of the oldies have beat each other at different points ,but for attackers you know who was really good for a time. The activity needed to attack is crazy and back then it was a different time. Attackers now using vip tools and such would be lost.

Skyring was super good when he wanted to be. Did he make mistakes at times yeh I think everyone has.

Attackers are a lot like running backs in the usa NFL They may have some real good seasons ,but thier career isnt as long.

also I think a built in Hall of fame would be great even its started off with only a few names.
