Topic: TThe Republican Primary

,I made my choice a while ago, but let me post for you here.

My winner is Cain. As he is an outsider, has a plan (the first) to replace the loophole ridden joke of a tax policy we have now... He has earned my primary choice.

His plan may have issues if others are correct about a VAT but a 9% VAT is still acceptible if less so than a standard corporate tax. Right now our nation is under incredible lobbying by big business for exceptions to this and that tax. His plan fixes that, ends a significant cause for lobbying. I can vote for that.

His strengths in math and business are also what this nation needs. Our economy is in the gutter. We need a business friendly man in.

Some say his time in the Fed contaminates him. However my inspection of that shows he was on the business side, not the Government side. He was in during a more responsible time, and I have not seen his name associated with any despicable policies.

The axe job tried against him shows desperation. All Democrats, all in Chicago, all found to have connections with the mayor of Chicago.... and we thought Blago was corrupt...

If Cain drops, or is severely damaged, then my choice is Newt Gingrich. I hate opportunists... I really do. But I also can tell he won't betray us if he wins the Presidency as he will want a second term. Not so good a comfort, but I know he can win, his debate skills are unparrallelled, his knowledge of bodies and policy is larger than half the mainframes of the world.

Newt has got strengths, and if he had issues being faithful it was in his personal side.

He also created the Contract with America...  the one biggest positive change from a Conservative standpoint ever. He has a track record in this regards.

I will not vote for the following people for reasons stated:

Romney - Though he was my choice last electionit was cause I did due diligence on McCain, threw up ten times, decided anyone was better than McCain and failed to do due diligence on Romney. There is only one thing certain about him... his party affilliation. This man could be a communist, could be a Nazi, could be an Anarchist... all in the same year! He flops worse than that pissed off shark you pulled on ypur boat, and literally on EVERY major issue! He is our version of a worse Obama. I will NEVER vote for him.

Ron Paul - The saddest joke I ever heard is he would make a good Ettin... One head sane with decent proposals, the other head utterly insane with thoughts that defy logic. Yes let's end the Fed, no the Mexican border fence is not to keep Americans in ala Berlin Wall style... sorry I just do not vote for the insane -EVER-

Perry.... You mofo... your giving illegal aliens in State education costs and making scholarships for in State students available to them but not giving legal Americans from other State's the same right? You lost my vote right there. I would not care out of State costs... but putting them before me is unnacceptable.

Other candidates: To weak, to stupid, to kiss arsy on Romneys backside. Go away.

Everything bad in the economy is now Obama's fault. Every job lost, all the debt, all the lost retirement funds. All Obama. Are you happy now? We all get to blame Obama!
Kemp currently not being responded to until he makes CONCISE posts.
Avogardo and Noir ignored by me for life so people know why I do not respond to them. (Informational)

Re: TThe Republican Primary

Romney is an old school, blue-blood conservative. He flip flops because, face it, you can't win the primary without pandering to the religious right.

While flip-flopping is despicable, it is forgivable in Romney's case. He's the only one who is center-right on the economy and center on social policy, so he gets my vote. Parties with religious and socially right agendas should be outlawed under a separation of church/state law.

Cain is lolz and an elitist. Both his "999" plan and sexist affairs are proof of his contempt for equal opportunity and meritocracy.

Re: TThe Republican Primary

I like that Flint will vote for the guy who has no actual idea what is going on and sprouts crazy shit like "all bills can only be 4 pages long" cause Herman Cain does not like to read....

"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but i am Jesus"
"Nothing is worse than a fully prepared fool"

Re: TThe Republican Primary

i think romney was a strong candidate to win the primary until he resorted to using an out of context ad about obama.  there is so much real crap you can say about obama if you want to run a negative campaign that you dont have to run a false ad and then get humiliated trying to run some sort of retraction.  even fox news faulted him on that.

bachmann is either really stupid or has a poor support team. she can't answer a direct question like the rest of the candidates at least try to do and sounds more like the obama type of drone like candidate

huntsman and santorum have occassional smart answers but wont get enough support

Perry simply won't get support after poor showings at the debates and because of immigrant programs

Cain or Gingrich are only comptetitors in my opinion.  I think Cain is intelligent and at least successful at business which is more than we can say about Obama but his idea to simply get rid of the current tax code is unrealistic.  Gingrich will lose a lot of his conservative support through his "amnesty" opinions but there are also a lot of  less conservative republicans who will support that.

Long story short, i am currently torn between voting for Cain or Gingrich.

So I told the cop, "No YOU'RE driving under the influence... of being a JERK!"

Re: TThe Republican Primary

Gingrich: Too controversial for the middle class, maybe with a good vice-president. But against Obama? No!

Cain: The leader in the field never wins.

Ron Paul: Too old, may die in office by natural causes.

Re: TThe Republican Primary

i refuse to hop left with the GOP

for instance, why are we in the WTO?  To preserve our manufacturing sector?  Doesn't it mostly just assemble prefab materials for the American market?
Isn't yielding decisions on our tax rates and antitrust laws, a massive assault on our soveriegnity?
Why are we in NATO? the UN?  Are we just cruising wtih the flow?

What's the plan to win in Afghanistan?  If we aren't going to win, why not?
If our current military can't beat goatherders, how do we project a credible deterrent to China and Russia?  If we're going to avoid fighting China and Russia, see above NATO issue.
if we're going to be superfrance that can fight anything without an air force, do we still need 10 Nimitz class carriers?

what's the GOP plan to reform the judiciary? is there still a GOP plan to reform the judiciary, or did it get dropped when we realized the GOP Senate caucus doesn't want any part of it?

Do we oppose the modern "progressive" sensibility that life without Medicare, Medicaid, the Dept.s of Energy, Education and legalized abortion was unliveable and a failed society?  If not, what steps have been taken to coordinate with congressional candidates to do something about it?

Why does a Republican House agree to vote up a budget to spend more money, when nobody can make them do that?  What are we going to do about it?

Why are we debating a "replacement" federal insurance plan, when we never had one up to the present?

Why declare we can't deport 15 million people?  If you can't deport them, why should they give a damn what you order them to do?

I haven't changed my views on any of those issues for 30 years.  It's the GOP that's gone squishy.

too bad, I liked Cain but he keeps acting like he is okay with not winning.

Re: TThe Republican Primary

the republican candidates for presidency are described as a "Freak Show" by the Wall Street Journal and other US media. how can a party hope to win with such a bad company of idiots? even Bush II was smarter in his worst days smile
with a general discredit of the leading figures the campaigns in the states will fail for the republicans, even with Flints 24/7.
