I'm from Scotland, But lived down near London not too long ago, But I was watching the news when I was down their, and aparently, alot of gangs and stuff got to talking because of the riots in like egypt and such like, and wanted to go over and join in. Dunno what the hell it was about, but it seems they've been itching for some serious rioting and stuff ever since then.  I don't think they have a real goal or anything, so I don't think it will escalate to anything worse
