Topic: Imperial Challenge 2008 - Interested?

Can you believe it's been way over a year since the first Imperial Challenge?! Well, its about time we thought about organising another one!

The whole point of this thread is to see whether we have enough people interested in creating teams to justify mods spending the time to set it all up. After all, it would be a complete waste of time spending hours organising the next ICC and only have enough people for 2 teams!

For those of you who don't know what the Imperial Challenge is, here's a quick summary:
The ICC is a free-to-play knockout tournament constructed of a number of families drawn to play each other in short rounds (heats). These heats are different to normal IC rounds as they are much shorter, use more resources and are aimed towards finding the best! The winners of the heats (highest planet count) move onto the next round and so on until we have crowned a winner!

We may change things up with this one but we'll still allow people to create their own teams and also let individual joiners play too. The original plan is to have it start sometime after the current SD round.

So if you're interested, let us know by putting your name down on this petition-type list. If we have enough signers, you'll hear more details soon!
