QFT.

Actually it was the French; most of our silent letters are thanks to the Norman invasion in 1066. ![]()
the Normans are vikings f00
The French only influenced the English language, they didn't "make" it. It'd make no sense for a Germanic language to be made by Romanic speakers.
ONLY influenced it? Because of the Normans the English language went from being a germanic based Old English that sounded a lot like Flemish (yes it did) to Middle English, which was so incredibly messed up it became too damn difficult to learn.
It's still only influenced, not made
It's still a Germanic language, it's just got so many other influences that people forget that sometimes.
Flemish bitches, the only true language
.
The Flemish people weren't even around back then. And besides, the Normans had a latin/dutch/scandavian hybrid language as a result of them being vikings and all. The english would have had a similar language as the norms anyways as pretty much all of north-western european and scandanavian cultures were intermixed like hell.
edit: but lets get back to the topic at hand, SupAll is a f00
They spoke flemish, or better said the group of dialects we consider to be old dutch ,starting from 500 till about 1100 there after it is called middle dutch.
Politics brought to Roleplay. Come on ppl I came here to get away from politics. So back to introductions?
I'm James and I'm an alcoholic.
And I'm an Alchoholic too.
I'm an old member, gone by many names on these forums. The most known being [RPA] HunterX. Back again, after a very long hiatus, and am actually writing decent pieces now.
PS. Anyone know how to change your name? I don't know what was going through my head when I came up with the name JohnHurtz
Ohhh. got ur heart broken by John, sry.
Nope sry I haven't found a way to change my name without pretty much making a new account. But come on, fill out ur intro. What stories have you taken part in the past and where are you planning on going in the future.
Wow Hunter...who would've thought I would see you again after so long, haha. It's great to see ya again.
You can (or should be able to!) ask a mod to change your forum nickname.
hey gang,
as the name says i'm Borg2. I've been part of IC for a good year or 7 and i believe IC has been around for 8 years. I arrived pretty early then, but i don't play anymore. I just have an account for posting my stories.
My first story i ever wrote was called "Thomas Bas", in the meanwhile i changed the title to "To die for" because Thomas Bas became the name of my most famous character ever written. The action was fast-paced, honour-laden and most of all: cool. I'll admit my writing wasn't as good back then, but i compensated with plot-twists and really good storylines that continued to keep everyone on the edge of their seats for six dazzling stories. It became my first saga.
Then followed the Signs. Another saga of mine (6 stories in each saga) about an archangel who turned out to be the bringer of the apocalypse and one of the four horsemen. The saga ended with a really cool poem i stole from some webcomic, but it fitted my story so excellently everyone forgave me for it. A tragic ending it was, where son and father face each other for the final duel and kill each other in one devastating attack.
"Gleaming on the mountainside,
A wisp of light in darkness creeping
Challenging the wicked silence
Laughing at the sacred dawn
Stood warriors of broken cause
Of iniquity and defied honor
Frozen in their casts of malice
Their malcontent and mocking callous
Equally bent on other
Hmm, I started in the summer of late 2002 and worked my way through some RPGs such as Mage Wars for a little bit and the successive others, Mech Wars II and similar roleplays, and most of the rest were dead within a week and are not worth mentioning.
A lot of people may or may not still know me still and some might not hold me in high regards due to lengthy periods of inactivity (a workload that snowballed) so I would humbly like to say "Hello."
There have been many people that I've met over the years on this forum and, unfortunately, quite a few of those people are gone. I see familiar people and new ones alike and hopefully the forum can thrive as it had once been back when people stayed committed.
As mentioned above, one of those people I've helped out (I think) is borg2 and I would like to thank him for all those years of witty, sometimes somewhat disturbing, and highly entertaining years of conversations. Thanks!
IP!!!!
I still that picture of you some where XD
I like the roleplay forum a lot. You could say I love it:p. I've tried to participate in other roleplays in other forums but they were never really fun. Although I've been becoming increasingly active, i'm still a novice in story telling. And I'm glad to see what I call really old players since I havent seen them post here since 3 years
. And i'm wondering how many of you read the stories we create here.
To be honest, I don't, Aro. I can't even pick up a book without cringing anymore, and yet, here I still try, in vain, to write stories.
Although, that doesn't mean I don't skim the threads and make sure people are behaving. *glares at the flaming critics*
I've just lost all the love for roleplaying ![]()
What ever happened to teh Scinfari Sea?
It lost 2 people to inactiveness and when I went on holiday it died out. But it was an awsomme concept and I wish the same guy sets it up again. I think it was suppy.
it lost me due to my quiting the RPA and feeling quite spitefull that day and deleting all my posts
