Dude. Women love men with money and power.

And Hillary Clinton is emphatic about injustice to animals.

They're both healthy. Hillary is really Machiavellian but pretends not to be.

No no. The second kind of conservative is not committed to Christian morals or society's morals. They do what they need to do for wealth and power, giving pragmatic concerns priority over moral ones. If that means "play by the rules but really not," then they will.

They aren't morally superior. They are healthy, mature and evolved human beings.

As for liberals, they are people who commit to liberal ideologies and describe them as such. I have observed the traits I described to be universally in them.

Well to be honest, I never met a committed liberal who didn't fit that model.

I have found that there is a connection between liberals, and a hyperactive empathy and commitment to aesthetically pleasing "oughts." "We ought to cure the world of injustice and make it just and fair for everyone!", and "zomg animals are suffering."

As for conservatives, there are two breeds. These two breeds may also interlap with one another.

The first breed is the kind of conservative who wants to conserve political, social and/or religious values (though usually connected) on the population, in an atmosphere that is becoming increasingly sexual, violent and dependent on mommy (the government).

The second kind of conservative is the goal orientated pragmatist. These kind of conservatives could be Machiavellians, you never know. All they are concerned with is that society and the economy function efficiently, they are passive to injustice, knowing that justice is a facade to power, they believe that pragmatic concerns are above moral ones, and they are often committed to advancing their own interests of wealth and power.

Now I just wanted to say one more thing. I think liberals and the first kind of conservative is a sick kind of human being, while the second kind of conservative is a healthy human being.

Thoughts?

No the autocracies are gone. They've been replaced by a form of government that is more flexible and able to better adapt to modern times.

And China has a long way to go. Per capita income in china is just 2k a year. They're strong because they're big but they haven't yet been able to match the quality of life of other countries.>>

Naw, democracy is more of a feature of capitalism. Just ask yourself who exercises the power in a democratic government and who the government always seems interested in satisfying first.

Well, China has billions of people living in it, most of who are farmers. But the people in the cities are doing tremendously better. Their GDP is also getting close to the US.

Overthrown for being a bunch of noobs, or for less noobs, monarchs with constitutional limits.

Avo,

Hahaha. You do realize that many of those same countries were once autocracies and were also the most powerful and wealthy countries a hundred years ago right? You also realize that those countries were also among the first to industrialize and had colonial empires right?

Hypothetically speaking, if a president was running on the platform of doing nothing, with the exception of the essential duties of the executive, would you vote for them? Anyhow, I always thought it would be amusing to run for office on a platform of being the "do nothing president!"

The do nothing president ftw!

Okay, in our defense (yeah, I'm one of those Las Vegas wimps), our snow is more dangerous than your snow.

Las Vegas snow happens while weather is just slightly below the freezing point, which makes the snow sit in that middle ground between freezing and not freezing.  That means the water turns to ice when it hits pavement.  Iced roads=bad.

And by the way, yes, I did have fun in the snow.  It's like the first snow I've seen in years and I had a free day.  smile

As a little side note... school was closed today, yet by about 9 am everything was bone dry.  tongue>>

Glad you had a good time in the snow Zarf. Btw, we get icey roads too. People skidding around, and the noob 16 year olds zomg. However, you live through it. Black ice is the real annoyance, but we get used to that too. Nonetheless, the ice doesn't last long because the government melts it with mad salt.

LOL.

Talk about snow here in MN. Dude, last night I couldn't open my garage to buy groceries.

But I love it when only 3 inches of snow closes highways and schools in Las Vegas and the South. It's so funny, since not even 8 inches would close highways or schools over here. They're such wussies.
