For the love of christ.....

"But Obama fits the description better than any others."

In an earlier post, I think I mentioned 30 people who fit the same descriptions.

Here's something those people who actually believe it's true should do: Read more books! Never trust a man who only reads one book! And then stop taking things literally.

I am no stoner, and my nick derives from a sonic poem by Sonic Youth.

I agree this thread's gone mad and that the discussion has gone absurd, but I just wanted to supply a rational base for "morals", as was asked by Justinian.
And you got me wrong when you interpret what I meant with "social". People have the need, in their own time, to communicate with others. That doesn't mean you can retreat into solitude (remember Rousseau's "return to nature" and his "einzelg

420, I just wanted to supply a logical reson for morality. Your claim that morals don't exist is not really part of this discussion. This thread assumes there is, and as Justinian goes, it's irrational, and that's what I wanted to disprove. Your recital of Sartre is, although interesting, not what I was aiming for tongue

Without reading the entire thread, I'd like to point out J J Rousseau's theory about the social environment.

His theory (and it's still in use) is that a human being is a social being. He needs social interaction to be natural, a lack of this interaction would mean the person is sick and dislodged from its nature.
Now, when 2 people interact, they agree on what he calls "a social contract", in wich they regulate eachother's "rights". These social contracts are made with everyone you come in touch with and this is what forms your morality. Thus, morality is needed in order to keep the social environment going, without it, it'd collapse and everyone would be unwhole and psychologically disturbed..

Well, what a surprise! X(

It's getting really annoying being killed in the first 24 hours over and over again. It's getting nearly impossible for me to play (cause if I don't die, I must be mob, right?) and that means it's time to stop. This was my last participation.. Thanks for the fun I had while playing this game, and good luck town!

My personal view is that it's pretty lame that people blame their loss on the game mods. In my honest opinion, they did it very well, and it must be noted that it wasn't different from the previous one.

However, it seems that this rather new way of telling the story (wich I find a lot more fair towards the mobsters) is a bit of a change (and challenge). The differnce is quite limited though, and the right interpretations were never really that hard to conclude (apart from the one arsy and elro admit to be ambiguous about). So, if you missed it, it's your own bloody fault, nothing more, nothing less. I was able to conclude the right things all the time, and thus should have everyone (if you all talked). What is wrong with this game is that half the people were just lingering idlers who didn't think for themselves (or even bother to show up in chat. Half of the time it was mobbies discussing amongst eachother with a rare towny). If anyone's to blame, it's them lads (and I could easily name people: jesnt, Rockon, Chees), for not showing up regularly in IRC. I'm highly dissapointed in the ones who ended this game gecause of this (the only one who was really in a position to blame someone was Lex). It shows nothing immaturity.

For the game moderators, I feel nothing but gratitude, and I think it's grand they admitted their mistake, and they shouldn't be hacked upon. Again, the players made a lot more mistakes..

"Alright, this round's writing is bs. The idea of the stories is to allow the players to get some insight on what's going on and allow the story to unfold, not to keep everyone guessing. You're not even letting out the names of the supposed targets ffs!"

Bollocks. This new style of writing makes it very fair. The targetted roles are protected (remember the saved me, and the role conversion of me after it while I knew every single secret role), it makes it a lot more fair for the sk and mobbies, and it hightens the suspension.

I miss a whole lot of people:

ObliQue (although his "death" was such a mean thing to do, he was a great lad)
Linchpinn
Hellraiser
KB
Cumsville
Tidus (he's around from time to time, but far too less)
Seyknom

After a long and thorough chat with Lex, I've decided to vote Lynns.

He claims lynns is the godfather (or the sorcerer equivalent). I have some doubts however, it's something that must be done..

"I am the cleric, i healed Lynns the night the SK tried to kill the godfather, so it stands to reason that Lynns is the godfather."

Claiming you have a special role is a typical last minute mobmove. If it comes down to either Lynns or Lex, I'm inclined to save lynns. Lex made an odd attempt to explain Torqez (see that chat fragment), now boldly states he has a secret role and is far less active in chat (even in PMs) than he usually is...

I'm thus reaffirming my vote on lexuzis. Ihad my doubts yesterday, but they're all gone now!!
I urge you to do the same people! Vote lex!!
