My personal view is that it's pretty lame that people blame their loss on the game mods. In my honest opinion, they did it very well, and it must be noted that it wasn't different from the previous one.
However, it seems that this rather new way of telling the story (wich I find a lot more fair towards the mobsters) is a bit of a change (and challenge). The differnce is quite limited though, and the right interpretations were never really that hard to conclude (apart from the one arsy and elro admit to be ambiguous about). So, if you missed it, it's your own bloody fault, nothing more, nothing less. I was able to conclude the right things all the time, and thus should have everyone (if you all talked). What is wrong with this game is that half the people were just lingering idlers who didn't think for themselves (or even bother to show up in chat. Half of the time it was mobbies discussing amongst eachother with a rare towny). If anyone's to blame, it's them lads (and I could easily name people: jesnt, Rockon, Chees), for not showing up regularly in IRC. I'm highly dissapointed in the ones who ended this game gecause of this (the only one who was really in a position to blame someone was Lex). It shows nothing immaturity.
For the game moderators, I feel nothing but gratitude, and I think it's grand they admitted their mistake, and they shouldn't be hacked upon. Again, the players made a lot more mistakes..
"Alright, this round's writing is bs. The idea of the stories is to allow the players to get some insight on what's going on and allow the story to unfold, not to keep everyone guessing. You're not even letting out the names of the supposed targets ffs!"
Bollocks. This new style of writing makes it very fair. The targetted roles are protected (remember the saved me, and the role conversion of me after it while I knew every single secret role), it makes it a lot more fair for the sk and mobbies, and it hightens the suspension.
