its not gonna be called ww3 because its going to be nothing like ww1 or two. it is not going to be a huge number of nations at war. its not going to result in several nations being conquered. its not going to be many years of fighting. its going to be a large series of nukes, probably without even a single official declaration of war and there will be no victor and there will be no country not devastated by it. and i know i just used a double negative tongue

Then reread the thread, it is all here.

> Spartans predate today and they were gay, that doesnt mean [w00f!] are comparable to spartan warriors. <

1) That is a gross generalisation based on our own modern day personal issues (See WFS, someone was paying attention)

2) I only sleep with men who are comparable to Spartan warriors.

> maybe if by different stroke for different folks you mean cosplay for [w00f!], i might have to agree with you. <

Sure, that's one theory. Another theory is that my elephant gets happy for cute Asian girls rather than "phat" Anmerican women. Like I said Different strokes for different folks.

Finally, I would like to say that I found your post to be ignorant, prejudiced, bigoted and offensive.

RE: OP

Will be doing my "Beni" thing during the silly season, so expect pictures in the new year wink

1) i didnt say there are no [w00f!] that are comparable to Spartans. i said the [w00f!] population isn't comparable to the past Spartan population. which is absolutely true. its fact.

2) there are plenty of cute asian girls that have nothing to do with cosplay. if you need the chick to be asian, then say asians are hot, not cosplay is hot... and the pics you gave were some of the ugliest asians i've ever seen.

to go against that would probably be going against everything unions stand for anyways...so why have them then?
they can shred unions apart..so they never run into this ever again... big_smile

i bet it was a provision in the newest contract that let them do it, because the big three were doing so horribly.

2,033

well, i doubt theres laws about it. there might be parts of their contracts that ask them to do that, but right now the unions arent really in place to demand shit, infact, the UAW is voluntarily giving up more benefits, such as suspending the job pool.

34 billion is alot, people dont have it just lieing around...

and the worst economy since 1932 doesnt recover in a year, we're talking 10 years minimum if the big three go bankrupt.

well, Buffett would have to liquidate half his stocks. he would have alot to loose, too. foriegn governments would sooner support their own auto-industries and their country's economies in this economic climates. The Arabs hate the US and would rather see several million more of us unemployed. money isnt floating around right now.

well, they had no problem gettings loans until this economic crisis, maybe, just maybe, the bank's being extremely tight with their money, to the point where they're destroying every government's economy in the world, could also explain why the big three arent getting loans. just maybe.

1. It's called sarcasm.
2. They are CEO's, and pretty ignorant ones at that, i read several articles about the big 3 CEO's that just made me gasp in amusement, in how stupid they are in fact, they are figure heads and nothing more, they are simply relaying figures, and understands relied to them from their CFO's and heads of several different accountant firms, i wouldn't honestly put ANY stock in their knowledge of their own companies, typical it's handled by boards of executives.. the CEOS are just Political morons - Hence why they are in need the money to begin with.

[flame]
You sir, are Ignored, and have been.

/facepalm. dont try sarcasm, its too complicated for you. if what was said was sarcastic, you would mean that the ceo's are extremely knowledgeable about their companies. i think what you meant was you were using hyperbole. that would make more sense.

well, i dont know what article you meant, so i'll just have to smile in amusment about what the ex-marine that was kicked out because he was physiologically unstable thinks about the integrity of the big 3's CEO's.

Considering the fact they are in front of the Federal Government asking, no begging them to save their company's.. i'd say any bum on the street knows more of the big 3's finances then they themselves do.

well, thats pretty illogical. how do you reach that conclusion given the information you gave?

avo the big three have been laying off people for ages, and they will continue to do so... even with the bailout
like i said, they're just stalling the problem
if not now, it will be in 6 months...if not then..in a year
and there you've just lost the same amount of jobs and 34 million of tax payer money

and if they loose jobs..fine.. GOOD
obama will have lots of workers free to hire to follow up on his alternative energy plans smile
the more the merrier big_smile

whats the problem they are stalling? they arent just laying people off, they're hiring people at significantly less then the people they fired were making.

Want to try to save as many of those jobs as possible? Loan the money to Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi or the Chinese Chery for the express purpose of taking over these poorly managed companies and reforming them into productive entities.

all auto-makers, including Toyata are loosing money in the US right now. the auto-companies cant pay off the debt because the economy is trash. the lack of a bail out is only going to make it worst, and best case scenario will only cost the US 3 million jobs.

what makes you so knowledgeable that you know more about the Automakers then anyone else? please enlighten me. Keeping the big three up, even if it costs, God forbid another 30 billion is the only way to stay off a full blown depression.

this whole bailout is a waste, we will not get this money back and we will not cure the recession with deficit spending

oh, so you're intimately familiar with the finances of the big three? stop pretending like you know more then you do.  the big three have given lots of financial information to congress and it appears that congress beleives that they wont need anymore. but ofcoarse you must know more about their finances then those people, right?

2,042

they wouldnt generate nearly as many jobs as the amount we would loose if the auto-companies didnt receive it, plus, the government isn't loosing the money, they're loaning it! they'll make money off the deal.

2,043

(78 replies, posted in Politics)

why do you think that?

2,044

(78 replies, posted in Politics)

its not about detroit, its about the entire nation.

2,045

(78 replies, posted in Politics)

its not about what people deserve or what the government owes who. its about whats best for the country. and the government loaning 30 odd billion dollars that will be repaid with interest inorder to save millions of jobs is in the best interest of the country. a 34 billion dollars LOAN isnt going to make the govt go down the drain. the what is it now, 1.5 trillion? they're GIVING to banks might though.

2,046

the problem with the big three. is because the union, they focused on large vehicles where they could easily get a prophet from. small vehicles were impossible to profit from because of labor costs. when oil prices rose, sales of the large vehicles crashed and eliminated their profits. they negotiated new union deals to make them able to profit from the small cars, and have started building cars that can compete with Japanese ones on every lvl, but then the economy just crashed, and the banks arent loaning money to anyone.

ummm, they're not doing that at all. they are using one model in particular with new technology as a marketing ploy.

only now have they started building cars that MIGHT  be able to compare
but that's like 10 years too late tongue

they made stupid decisions, they shouldn't be rewarded for it...

they can EASILY get out of this sticky situation without ANY loan
if you give them a loan, they will just stall the problem..not fix it

a big part of the problem are unions like rooster said... i heard somewhere the total cost of one employee working for GM totals out to be around $70 an hour
while toyota pays in total like $40

$70 an hour is the experianced workers that all three are laying off, new workers witht he union's new deal is costing them soemthing like $24 an hour, so eventually they'll have the advantage when it comes to salaries. the US government has always been pro-union, its not like the big three welcomed unions with open arms, they did everything they could to fight them, and the Government fought the big three to support the UAW, and thats why 90% of the people in congress hate the big three.

they cannot get out of this situation without loan or bankruptcy, bankruptcy wouldnt be recoverable and they would cease to exist, the entire US would loose millions of jobs. over 2 million just from assembly lines and dealerships, so thats ignoring managment, engineers, advertisment, and part suppliers, you're probably looking at 4 million jobs lost. there will also be a shortage of cars in the US, that probably wont be filled by foreign manufactures for at least 10 years. so you would be looking at extremely high car prices for the next 10 years in the US. a loan isnt free money, the big three will pay it off and the government should do it because its in its nation's best interest. it will generate more money for the government later on and it will save millions of jobs.

and they have always been able to build cars that compare to foreign cars. the past 10 years, all their customers didnt buy from them just because they were american....

this is a photo of a sick kid having some fun like kids do

and then some internet troll put a sick caption on it

the thing that makes people think the person who tookt he picture has a sick mind was that if you look at the pic, the grass is cut on one side of the kid and isnt on the other, making it look like the cancer kid is actually mowing the lawn with his toy. i dont see why people immediately think that it was sick. i gave a logcial explanation earlier that people ignored.
