Palin is a nut job. Everything that comes out of her mouth sounds like she has been possessed with the soul of hillary clinton.

Biden is swimming behind her trying to get in the boat.

Obama vs. McCain 2008

Yeah the democrats were stupid. I don't know what the hell they were doing. From my understanding, everything was going fine until they got greedy and dreamt up a bill that was going to be passed only if congress was full of 7 year olds.

But....he still doesn't have a solution =p

I've just come to realize that flint must be 100% ignored. Everything political he says is completely one sided, relatively unsupported and so biased it isn't funny. There wasn't a winner in the debate because nobody really touched anything. Both Obama and McCain sidestepped questions and repeated what they were saying all along.

Anyhow, McCain was basically saying he was going to stop spending money on stuff that's hurting us and focus on the war and put money there.

Obama said he was going to stop spending on the war and invest in other things.

Nobody went in depth, nobody showed anything special.

He might've had his wife email it to him. That would explain why he can't get it =p

lol Nobody told McCain to put anything aside. That was his own doing. If he can't make a decision as a grown man and a possible president then he really isn't fit to run the country =p

He tried to do something to make himself look good and it just didn't play out the way he wanted it to. That's pretty much it. He made the choice to call off the debate and then obama gained in polls. So now he's going to the debate. It's not really a time for gimmicks. The bailout situation has made voters even more anxious to pick the right candidate. It's nearing october. Time to put up or shut up

Though if we are discrediting ppl for changing their mind, then we may as well point the finger at McCain for suddenly deciding to attend the presidential debate at the last minute even though he vowed to focus on fixing the economy.

lol There's nothing wrong with changing your opinion. Never understood why people get bashed for that. There were ppl who voted for bush who quickly saw the light. Well...they voted for him twice so maybe not "quickly"

Just a FYI

The game will be going down for a little while today for maintenance work. This will also likely affect the chat server. So today when you don't see IC up and running, you know why smile

Ditto.

Yep, they really stole those buisnesses lol

Washington Mutual was a huge move for them. Though I'm not surprised. Washington Mutual's owners didn't seem to be doing much with the company to compete with the other major banks. It's no surprise to me that they had to sell everything

I think both candidates are being immature honestly. Well, in a sense. McCain stabbing obama in the back was pretty low. I don't really care who approached who, just as long as they can show that we can be united because it causes a trickle down effect. The joint statement and suspending the campaigns is the best thing for the country right now. Or would've been. At least then the "my candidate, my candidate" situation could've been temporarily calmed and we could focus on important matters as a Nation. Now the democrats are being greedy and the republicans are doing the same. Not that they wouldn't have been. But I think a joint statement would've set an example.

If Obama goes to the debate stage alone then I'm going to be disappointed. We don't need to hear much more from Obama/McCain solo. Lets hear them talk together face to face. This is why I don't really care for politics. Too many childish people with power. Even 8 year olds get along better

You'd think that if McCain warned everyone, he'd have a solution already =p

I'd do it big_smile

But then I'd have to talk a lot of trash after and then schedule the rematch and then retire a week before the fight!

Classy!

have you been paying attention the last few weeks?  when ever any of them make a public appearance they try to out do the other in their abilities to be "bipartisan" so Obama thinks that suggesting a joint statement makes him look as though he is initiating the cooperation to help this crisis. however, like i said, a statement does nothing.  its just face time.  So McCain is going to go and actually do something about it.

lol what exactly is he going to do about it?

the joint statement is typical of Obama.  he wants to put his name on things that might look good and stay far away from anything that would make him look bad.  hence his staying away from the debate on the financial crisis in Washington.  A joint statement does nothing. legislation actually gets something done but obama doesnt want that.  he is frantically trying to spin this to look good for him.

Er...If he was just trying to put his name on something then why wouldn't he just have made the statement himself like McCain did? There's nothing at all that makes sense about what you said =p

If anything, a joint statement pretty much lets people see that the situation is critical atm and the two parties are working together on acknowledging the situation and trying to rectify it. I can't really see how 2 rivals from America's two major political parties coming together to talk to the country is a bad thing.
