*first child statisticly has the biggest chance on survival at birth and after. If there isn't a child, it could be because of infertility unless she's a virgin.
*jalousy is an instinct. Those are blind and not perfect. Males in prehistorical concepts needed to watch after there women for rivals. Its just a wrong concept of mind inspired by this instinct.

Anyway, lets get to toppic.

"Well Obama's said his piece. I found him trying hard to move to the center and to Christianity. He is going to severely upset a lot of Democrats."
The centre I don't know but you are right about christianity. It idd will upset the hardcore atheist but on the other hand he defended themes like abortion wich is very popular in that environement.

But I doubt he won even a small amount of votes of the conservative christians. I think McCain will try hard on that side of the spectre.

The third reich in fact, is a good example whats wrong about the left-right axis and better in the 3 dimensional structure.
Gov: Totalitarian
Econ: centre but with some extreme-left aspects in it.
social model: fascism

Its the econ part that gets people confused. To flints defence, it had some extreme left aspects in it. To your defence alan, the social model was undoubtably extreme right. Now I generalise, hoping you all understand what I said, but I'm willing to explain it further.

"The EU constitution is a little thing? The EU has gradually wormed itself into every aspect of everyday life. I do not consider it a small thing and I would like it if my goverment wouldn't be so eager about letting the country be ruled by a foreign institution."
in that same light, you shouldn't let your village or city run by an outside national dutch gov?

Stop the non-democratic part. Its undemocratic now and the constitution would fix a lot of things. Do you have a short memory or you just want me to repeat the same story over and over again? Besides, you voted for european elections to didn't you?

@bief:
most laws are made by the EU. A constitution is a logical result and absolutely necessary. In this particular case it makes the EU more democratic and gives more rights to its citizens and the chance for countries to drop out.

"i blame europe though, for teaching young generations that censorship is ok."
? The EU doesn't teach that, and the subject is debated over time and time again all over europe. (especially the rules on discriminiation and racism.)

The reason the EU can't act is because of energy blackmail. The reason the US can't act is the same as during the cold war. The russians have thermo-nuclear missiles. I can't blame them. But I do blame the EU for falling asleep and not caring about energy dependance to a despotism.

oh and another note to justinian;
your disaproval of certain ways of thinking makes you blind for the strategic importance of having a strong europe as an ally. US or EU will never invade each other and are both more or less stable because of the democratic structure. Russia is unpredictable and far more unstable as it appears on the outside.

I see nobody in this thread questioning the seriousness of the situation whilst 2 months back everybody laughed at my prediction for dangerous tensions as an "exageration of predicting a new cold war". That all because of a minor struggle.

Russia still has a shitload of nuclear weapons so has US. Little has changed in the concept of a cold war except for the people themselfs. Russia seeks to defend/expand itself not by "bufferzones" like stalin but by vital energy and rescource control.

Together with several bombardments by russian airplanes, russian tanks roll into georgia. Officially this is to protect russian troops in Ossetia.

Georgia calls for immediat and total mobilization.

Wonder how the rest of the world will react.
