In my opinion it's not specifically needed to have representatives from every constituency in the house of commons.

another interesting thing is that the party in power is always less popular than the oposition party.
therefor, whoever decides to take power now, is more than likely to lose it in the next elections, and seeing as it will never be a very stable government, that may be sooner than expected.

I agree that sometimes people go too far with this. However discrimination is needed to counter discrimination.

If a society is so grown into not hiring women for traditionally male professions, that they won't hire someone that is much more qualified just because she's female, you have a problem. Attempts have been made to counter this by forcing companies to hire a certain amount of females. In my opinion not a very good solution, and it comes with a lot of it's own problems as well, however, it's better than just letting it be, i suppose.

In a fair society this would all not be needed, unfortunately society is all but fair.

I think this could happen in the USA too, there are smaller parties, they could grow bigger.

What is the point in a LibLab coalition if they still don't have a majority together.
They have 315 seats combined, which leaves 11 for a majority. They would also need to get some local parties in on this, and that just seems like a very poor plan alltogether.
The other option is to go into a minority government with a coalition...but that will lead to all kinds of problems as well.

It depends, WFS, ofcourse, granting millions of bonuses when a bank is not profitable is rediculous. But if the leadership of an able leader is making a bank flourish, he should be rewarded for that.

If you do not reward courage and leadership when it's going well, but do punish it when it's not going well, noone is going to want to take initiative and nothing happens.
