The only one with superpowers was Doc Manhatten. The others just lifted weights and had lots of training for fighting. You have to think Batman when you think minutemen and watchmen (other then the doc)

The way they did that was considerably different also. Instead of introducing a new "threat to the world" they chose to use an already established character. I thought it was alright. I would have preferred the original view of it since it was designed to unite humanity against an alien threat.

the songs were good There were two times near the end i wasn't so sure the songs fit really but for 90% of the film they were great. I started thinking about it and they needed all the music so they could transition between the multiple scenes without rushing them or filling in with crappy banter

The second sex scene was to point out the difference in the person (without having his outfit on he couldn't get it up. But once he was in the uniform he was a very different person) You don't see it as much in the movie. but in the Novel Dan (owl guy) is an unsure guy who does some stuttering and isn't very confident. Once he's in his suit he's authoritative, commanding and confident.

I saw the movie last night and was hugely pleased No book to big screen adaptation is going to be perfect but this movie does a great job. They twisted a few things and cut out some others but in the end the point got across. The guy who played rorschack rocked the part. Couldn't have asked for a better representation i think.

The fight scenes were great. I kept looking for the bad angle that shows it was an air punch and i didn't see any. All those wrestling shows could take some pointers on using camera angles

Doc Manhatten's "third leg" was done more then enough for me Like an alien sausage fest. I preferred his speedo to the commando

Note that this movie isn't for the squimish Anyone who doesn't like blood, sex, nudity, compound fractures, etc might not want to see it

Can't wait to get this on dvd

it's difficult when your jumped this early in the round (especially if your not expecting it)
