I dont see this as the solution to Fam Bank.  Rather, I see this as something that makes Fam Bank even better.

What's the reason Fam Bank is so good?  It's because it takes all fam resources and spends it where it's needed for the benefit of the fam.  What's the worst thing about fam bank?  Players not logging in and sending aid when they needed.

So all this does, is seem to get rid of that part. 

This might start out with good intentions, but all I see it become is 1-2 people controlling effectively all the empires in a fam.  What's the point in someone coming in and doing anything?  Once their infra is built as far as I'm concerened, they don't even have to log in, cos I could just take all their aid whenever I wanted.

I agree that Fam Bank needs to be phased out somehow, but I don't think this is it.

As a player, I don't agree.

Sure its better for the fam, but this just makes it players have to be even MORE lazy.  They don't need to take ownership of when to log in, and when to contribute.  Essentially, the 1-2 most active players in a fam, are taking almost full control and doing whatever.

Already with the Fam Bank system we lose individuality - and I hate that.  We just become drones of a few people who plan a few things and just tell us what to do.

Not sure I like it.

Tbh, seems like a lot of work, for essentially what is players being lazy not to post in forums.

Eg, Leader makes a thread "Everyone post here when you've built your 8 explos". .....same thing achieved with ur checklists.  Yes, checklists make it easier, for those lazy ppl - but, like i said, its a bit of coding to do, just to help the lazy ppl.

Also, what's your aid sharing idea? hmm

Yes in hindsight, ramza wasn't mob, but only mob would know that for sure.  Add to the fact, the next day, we were all voting Ramza for a particular reason, and you just come in with:

And now you have the nerve to say I'm mob, because of the ramza vote?

Seems like Forum could be used for this.

Many fams already write out a To Do list, or an Infra Plan or w/e in Forum.  It's up to the Player on how they communicate with their fam.

Yea, your Idea could be good - but I don't see it as 'that' beneficial.  Then you have implications of if your task is "Build 8 exploration ships".  Is it for the day? Or total? Do they keep checking it every day? ...seems a lot of work to achieve specific things, which could be done by Forum anyway - which is more flexible.

Yea, ofcourse player's mightn't be that active, or are lazy to do so - but that's another thing...

Due to popular demand, we now have a Changelog!  Hopefully this will be easier to track all the changes that have been implemented by having them in one place smile

Players can access this from their HQ screen, and clicking the link at the top, "Changelog". 

You will note that the Tools and Links at the bottom of your page, have also been re-arranged.

This Changelog is no way near comprehensive.  Special thanks to Metrex for helping put together some of it!  If you find something that you believe should be added, feel free to contact a Developer or a Mod, with the following information smile

This is so hard with all the inactive killing stopping the lynch kills.  Cos the uncovering of roles, helps us figure out who is who.  I see Gwyn's point now -_-

This is a known "bug".  But I like to call it a warning tongue

If you have between 1-2x the amount of gc you need for upkeep, then you get this message and your troops don't disband.

If you have less than 1x - Then you get msg and troops disband
If you have more than 2x - Then no message and no troops disbanding.

Currently 2nd in eco (yea yea, depends on a lot) ...and achieving that without 2 drafts?

If you can explain it, i'll go back to voting for inactives - moreso, people who don't join chat.  I mean, what's the point in playing, if you don't have time to be on chat?  Mafia is fun when everyones in chat and talking and stuff.  It's sad the only people who are involved get killed/lynched.  Then someone who's "hiding" survives till the end.  It's annoying and we shouldn't play that way.

Quite a few of you who i havn't seen in chat.  Yea, if it's a time difference issue, then I apologise - but a lot of you, i'm pretty sure havn't been on chat long.

Hmm, Turmoil.

I don't trust the bandwagon on on Rchie.  I don't know why it exists.  Having said that, he still hasn't explained to me why he deleted his post about me.  Playing on phone so he can't edit/spell properly - that's fine.  But why did you delete the post about me? 

So yea, not sure.  I think rchie is dodgy as hell - but the bandwagon on him is unwarranted.  Having said that, unless you can provide me with a legitimate answer, my vote is staying with what it was yesterday.

Mmm....yea possibility.

Maybe perhaps just leave them for now, and if we have to add more, then think of something.  Perhaps add them horizontally insted of vertically, to take less space.

DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

Hello!

Right now, as a Development Update ....I can tell you that a LOT of things are going on smile  It's actually an exciting time to be a part of IC.  Granted, a lot of the stuff is behind the scenes, so you won't fully get to see what's going on.  But you'll definitely be able to enjoy the benefits of an active team!

The Dev Team have been working on a number of things.  One of the main things, over the last 6 months or so, has been the development environment.  Things are MUCH less scary to be able to implement changes.  Yes, we still may have our fair share of bugs and little hiccups, but this is largely to do with an old code base and structure.  Thanks to Stefan and Ps (we miss you) for a lot of this stuff.

Currently, the Dev team in Pie and Elro are very active.  They're both plugging away at things which will hopefully make for a better IC!  Stefan has also become much more involved, and it's a great sign to have him active.

The Mod Team do a great job too.  They help us identify the important changes that are required, and escalate bugs and issues too.  This wouldn't work without them!

At this stage, we're also looking at ways to improve IC from a player's perspective.  Not something that will change the game functionally (although we will still look at these like normal through the Ideas thread), but things which will improve and make your life a little easier.

This is not going to be a To Do list per se, but it will be looked at closely and if it is more or less easy to implement, it may get done smile  Some examples of similar (that don't really affect the game) recent changes are:

- Max number of explos that are buildable displayed on Unit's screen
- Send All Aid links
- Overbuild to Percent!
- Planet Format Tool
- Colours of Names in System Page based on Family Relation

The above are just an example.  None of these have changed the game as such (e.g. no new Op, or Soldier/Droid attack values changed), but hopefully have enhanced gameplay just that little bit.

So! As a request, please think of TWO ideas, along this nature, that you think if implemented, will improve your IC playing experience smile  The reason I say 2, is because I'd like you to think about the two things that will most help you at this stage.  Depending on the ease of getting them implemented, we'll aim to do so!
