to me

war = organized multiple attacking of a fam that can be considered a threat regardless of retaliation or not for the goal of weakening or killing them completely

grab = a few planets near u or an entire area somewhere else for the purpose of securing the area regardless of if its in their core as long as u offer them peace if they let u keep those planets.

farming = gaining a large sum of planets from a fam that cannot fight back.
