Im glad that people are appriciating this post tho, cause i really felt that it has been a positive development for IC, and hope that others share that view

I could hold a Q&A session on strategy for instnace, but most questions would be trolling from Parrot Nolio and Metrex ![]()
The last couple of rounds i must admit that my interest in IC has slowely declined, mostly because the game was not renewing, and there was not many strategic challenges left in the game. It had boiled down to only a mechenical contest of excecuting old strategies over and over.
However on the bright side i must now congratulate our great developer PS, you brought a new spark of life into the game, and weve had a refreshing round in SD, and with the ICSR and the new interesting format in MW comming up, i hope to see some more life in here!
The SD round with the new market was really interesting in my opinion. In the end it turned out to be truly crazy! I wish more players had managed to keep up and we couldve seen crazy wars of 2 billoon nw players against eachother, constantly raiding and rebuilding etc. Some adapted to the new format, others didnt, and once more in IC, creativity and thinking was properly rewarded.
All in all, thanks for a nice round, and keep the new developments and formats comming!

Well to a certain degree yes, normally IC isnt fully exponential, with increasing OB cost, and increasing nw penalty. Market play is pretty much perfectly exponential, and so the differences between the best and the not so good players become way greater than they normally would.
I guess so RIN, but for others it could aswell have been "keep decent op defence so your marketpile isnt sniped"
Overall i think it was a fun round, remember that for half the round market didnt help very much, it wasnt til abit later that playing the market surpassed building in efficiency

The problem with no market is that all empires have to be almost excact replicas of eachother, and its boring, close to no wiggleroom

But besides that; i really like the idea of a fixed market, the problem has however always been that the prices are hard to set at a reasonable level.
What i assume is the goal of such rounds is to either have people play SS, or allow for several different approaches. Some will be pure bankers, some will be pure resoourcers etc. So far i have yet to see a round wwhere being resource dependant had any merit at all tho.
