..u mean in the game, right??

smak soccer! I'm a fan of widespread Eurohumiliation!! GO HOLLAND
It was a very f'd up case, half her family said it wasn't her on the tapes and the other half said it was.
And R Kelly said it wasn't him on the tapes either.
But 10:1 they get together and do a "remake" of what they never did before, for sale online.
>>And the only thing any of them (the few that got charged with their "crimes") had done was to send money to their relatives in the countries where they came from. This was labeled "sending money to terrorists".<<
I think you are seriously confused. Very few people got charged, many more had bank accounts closed. And in Minneapolis which has about 60,000 Somali immigrants, one of the wire services operating to Somalia paid Al Qaeda $0.08 on every dollar wired out of America, so the FBI had every reason to slam that down.
>>It's like during the cold war BW (if you have any recollection of that) when people could say "my neighbour is a comi!" to get him/her arrested (with no proof). This is the same. No proof needed to take someone in, and no courts needed to send him/her to jail or our of the country.<<
No, that was the Red Scare of 1920 which also followed terror attacks, the Wall Street bombing and the attempted murder of a Secretary of State by two unknown men (their bomb went off while they were planting it on the porch and all we know about them is there were two of them by the number of arms recovered from the neighborhood)
Everything comes back to starship troopers. Even kittens!
"Greater love hath no man than this: that a mother cat lay down her life for her kittens."
In the book, citizenship is earned by Federal Service, proving a devotion to community beyond self according to a future social calculus. Federal Service is everything from terraforming Venus to being a cop to combat service. The recruiting sergeant tells them that even if they were blind and had no legs they could sign up and earn citizenship by separating caterpillars by touch.
Yeah but Memorial Day sticks in our craw.
We came up with Memorial Day first in 1866 to commemorate our civil war dead
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memorial_day
originally "Decoration Day" because it focused on putting flowers and flags in war cemeteries
"Veterans Day" is November 11, guess when that got started?
cmon 1 of 5 stars? the original Hulk flick deserved that but Happening I'd rate about a 3
the constant gore got dumb but once he showed people shooting each other with the same gun in turn, then it was cool hearing them do it out of sight.
Memorial Day
you only think that's what they're talking about
>>yell, it's not jackson's fault, he might have a little something to do with it, but you can't fire a great coach like him, he's one of the best coaches if not the best coach in NBA....why would u even think he should be fired?<<
I sure as hell would fire his ass, AGAIN, he is nowhere near a great coach, let's check the facts:
1. He made his bones coaching Michael Jordan and Scotty Pippen. Who WOULDN'T win finals with those guys?
2. He totally screwed up the whole Kobe-Shaq drama. A GOOD coach, not a great coach but even a GOOD one, would have run that out of his lockerroom the first season. We had five years of it.
3. He chokes. Totally. He goes into the finals with a game plan and NO CONTINGENCY. We all saw it when the Pistons mopped the floor with the Lakers in 2003. He was scribbling on his little whiteboard but it didn't matter. He can't improvise and he's not that much better than the competition that he can stick to Master Plan A.
>>i blame it on lakers bench, they should know what kobe is thinking when he passes them the ball, and they end up blowing a perfectly set up play<<
Maybe they need some sort of supervisory advisor to help them with that? Perhaps they could hire one? What title should he have?
Wow glad so all the lakers have to do is blow another two series 4-1 and Phil Jackson becomes a champion!!!!
...
And how
I forget, do the Bugs fry Rico's mom in the movie?
Well it was a small outfit, now defunct, it printed church bulletins in five states in competition with JS Paluch who does them in 50 states.
The bulletin is free to the church, they get 2-6 pages of copy and their choice of cover and the printer sells a page of ads on the back to advertisers.
We got about the minimum wage--i'm sure the best pressmen got a lot more cause they bougt a house-- and we worked by the job, so if crap broke down for four hours you went home four hours late. The stuff had to be out by Friday night.
No health benefits and we worked in non-airconditioned pressroom, our presses were a lot of junk so we learned how to jury-rig them with duct-tape and spot-welding. One day OSHA told us to stop working elbow deep in kerosene without gloves because it causes cancer, which is good to know.
But I guess it was pretty fair, you either did you share or you got called out by eight guys, we were allowed to horseplay back there. I was known as a hitman because I can throw a quart of water thirty feet through a four-inch gap in an ajar doorway and be gone before it hits the target. Front office let us alone and talked to our crew chief.
It went under because the owner believed in hiring his drinking buddies...don't think a stronger union can stop that!
Good point, time we repudiated the UN Convention since it covers people forced to wear jumpsuits and pick up trash along the highway
"and Yell, phil is a good coach, he knows what he's doing but sometimes he just can't get the players to understand and get their hype back, it was preety tough to do anything with the celtics defence, celtics really did step up"
yeah funny how he's had that same problem FOR A DECADE
maybe we need a mediocre coach who wins finals?
I think vissertje and WFS are the same guy
double congrats Gwenydd!!
OK I have been informed by reliable sources that Indy did not shag the Ruski babe and that is downright unAmerican!
I saw "The Happening", some thoughts
1. Shamalayan could have called it "The Plants" except Hitchcock's estate would have sued his ass off for plagiarizing "The Birds". It's borderline and that would have been final proof...
2. Kudos to a film that effectively demonstrates the need for private gun ownership
3. Could also have been called "The Slappening" but you won't find that out until you're 4/5ths through the movie
4. Seems to me if there's something in the air to make you kill yourself you'd do ok to get hella drunk. Unless it made you roll over and puke. So you'd have to strap yourself into a chair or something.
5. "Uh, I'm gonna go do something suicidally reckless m'kay? So I'm gonna leave my daughter with you m'kay? HEY Don't you go being a reckless dumbass with my little girl! Or I'll be mad about leaving her with you or something right up until my inevitable death!"
6. We saw six previews with this flick and I dont' want to see any of them.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn damn
fire Phil Jackson! pay off the fake guru and give it to Jack Nicholson, he might lose but he'll cost less and keep his hands off Jerry Buss' daughter (probably tho the whore may throw herself at him so it's a calculated risk) plus that frees up Nicholson's seat for a few more $$$
BW I think you have lived in New York too long.
"It just takes some time"-- the rest of the country prefers it take as long as the words "You're fired" to go from the boss' lips to the snafu's ear.
I have busted my ass in a press shop that was too poor for a union-- they don't bother with outfits that won't support their dues. OK fair enough but spare me the "Voice of the Common People" crap.
Now what they're doing in CA is striking to force a smaller pension package for new hires so the company can afford the older more generous package for the veteran employees. You work at those places, they make you join a union, and then they tie you into a budget pension plan In The Name Of The Worker. Thats if they hire Americans and not skilled illegals.
How come the Euro champ can lose the world cup?
How can you doubt Google hates you all?
in American people PAY to be put on a dog leash and made to strip
this is my problem with the Bush is torturer argument
to me, torture is so bad that if somebody volunteered for torture it would be proof they were insane
amputation of a healthy limb
flogging
crucifixion
thats torture. Context doesn't matter
but when you say "waterbording is torture" then you run into the problem that we do it to our troops in training. So we torture our own people? "Well..uh..no, because if you know you're being tested and not going to die then you aren't feeling the full effect"
so if I crucify troops for training and they know I'll take them down before they get hurt too bad, crucifixion isn't torture?
I say there was no torture at Abu Ghraib we call that "hazing" and the best colleges ban it
Not far wrong, since universities won't give a degree without a mandatory class in liberal values.
Religious families raising kids are part of the discussion because we started talking about them.
