i think you need to read the definition of reward. rewards are given, awarded to people. helping people because it makes you feel better, isnt you expecting a emotional reward because it isnt given to you, it is a natural side reaction you have to the good deed. and i dont think i've ever heard someone who claims to be Altruictic whether thinking of my definition or yours and a third, that denies getting any positive emotional response from doing it.

this is something, that i've found very annoying with politicians. we're in an economic crisis, and they have no qualms wasting money. whether its nancy pelosi being the first person in her position to get a government issued private jet or whether its Obama traveling across the country to win votes for the next election.
