I'm fairly sure it is just a configuration thing, I was discussing this with someone early on in the piece (I think maybe Smartys) who explained the reasoning behind it.

I remember you, I think I played against you. There are still a few of us on mIRC, the reason the game has changed so much is that there are so many less people. Good luck joining a galaxy, hope to see you in mIRC.

Any guesses on the new one? Anyone?

The reason Stefan disabled it, if memory serves, is that in the old forums the linking thing was exploited as a way to hack the forums (or some such nonsense, I could be well off the mark.). To remove that risk in the new forums he removed the ability for anyone except mods/fmods (and clearly devs) to use or see HTML coding. In any case, good luck pie, and god speed! This forum does already have the ability, if the user groups are allowed to use/see HTML tongue

Correct Wendy. Olivander, and in Merlin the voice of the dragon. Amongst other things.

If the ban was from the 6th/7th to the 10th of August I would suggest it is most likely for re-opening a thread on the same topic as a closed thread.

Have a look at your recent posts/threads. The offending post/thread will likley have been edited or closed. It should be fairly apparent which post is the initiating offence. Have a look in that thread, mods/fmods normally put warnings in such as (this is spam) or (language) or whatever. If that's not the case have a look at the last edited by, that will give you who edited it to ask them personally.

13. Do not make public accusations of rule breaking and do not discuss certain blocks in the forum
To improve the mood in the forums, public discussions of the above are not allowed. Issues and questions regarding rule breaking and blocks should be addressed to the moderators (ways to contact mods are listed in the FAQ).

Moderator action: Public threads on these issues will be removed and a moderator will be alerted to the issue.

15. The moderator's decision is final
The Imperial Conflict moderators have the authority to use their discretion and common sense on a case by case basis on moderating these forums and punishments for violating any of these rules. In special cases, moderators may delete posts deemed highly offensive to themselves or posts which contain a security risk.

................

In short, you can't really create this thread. The only way I can think of is to go into #mod, find a mod that is online and pm them asking for a review of the decision.

Read this:

"...This forum is to be for discussion on how to create a system of honor and fair play for all to enjoy the game. Not for a place to post a whine thread...."

Correct.

I want full details.

It would have to be like 20% of the small families planets, since 5% in some cases will be just clearing a single system.

That could be an interesting spin on the IA rule.... in certain (farming) situations smaller fams could be eligible to form an IA and hurt the larger fam back.

And this is about thinking of ways than an honour code or coding of game mechanics can help, so whilst an honour system might have difficulties, it doesn't necessarily preclude an honour system being possible.
