"
Sure, have you seen the latest ED ads?  The only reason I know what most of them are about is because I know, before hand, what viagra and cialis are.  Furthermore what exactly is harmful about informing children of what ED is and that treatment exits.  However as I said I support a television stations right to have what they want on their channel.  If I see something or my kid comes and tells me of something I didn't see that I don't like I'll tell my kids not to watch that channel and maybe right a letter saying I personally think it's inappropriate."

ok, how about, would you be ok, with a nazi organization funding anti-Jew propaganda through buying airspace during the commercials of a program intended for toddlers? what about an advertisement for a gun that was a war simulation on a billboard 10 feet from your bedroom window, with a high volume, that made it impossible to sleep.

btw, the three stooges are awesome!

Obviously it's unreasonable to expect parents to blindfold children while driving them to school or everywhere else to avoid disgusting advertisements on the sides of buildings or benches or whatever. When I talked about TV ads I wasn't talking about all ads. Dumbass! tongue

LOL 420. Aside from healthcare you've spoken the straight Word of God 100% of the time. Impressive! Is your name Moses? He DID _TALK TO_ a _BURNING BUSH_.

this thread isnt specifically about tv censorship, dumbass, its about censorship in general

advertisment isnt something we typically voluntarily observes, because of that, we cant personaly censor the material advertised.

"In fact, the only reason you would own a pit bull is to have a guard dog, like meth lab owners, or to massage your ego by owning an aggressive breed."

lol, you're such a moron. there are plenty of personal reasons to have a pitbull, just because you're too idiotic to think of more, doesnt mean they dont exist.

as for the disproportionate number of dog bites they have, if you keep killing off the most prone dog, you will have to kill off all but 1 dog species; one species has to be at the top.

theres a clear difference between advertisment and entertainment. you can decide to watch something, and someone can advertyise something to you while watching that. the actual entertainment shouldnt be censored, there is no need for it. advertisment needs to be censored to respect different people's values.

i watched 2 of them, no one is going to two on a half hours here, watching the videos unless they already believe. i dont think the concept makes much sense. we already have the means to reduce the earth's population to under 500million (i think it was 500million) with nuclear weapons; so either the group isnt as powerful as they make them out to be, or the group's goals arent what they say they are.

could free market be everything they say? yes? could it also be a failure? yes. it depends on the society and how they make it a "free market" in a perfect world any system would work, communism, capitalism, socialism, ect.

i dont care about the proof that she is or isnt a racist. i care about her saying things that are very damaging to the country, and how stupid and arrogant she must be.

"I think whether one is better than the other is a matter of testing whether people are more motivated by social incentives or economical/power ones."

economical/power incentives are only motivational because of soft power persuading people that the economy and power is important. without soft power, hard power is useless.

"Sure, I talked to a few people, but not nearly enough for it to matter!""

i didnt say anything like that. i said while the number of people i've talked to is significant, it is not large enough to mean that the backlash done to companies that are bailed out will be enough to keep them from being profitable.

"Remember, for your backlash to even matter, it has to be relatively similar in size to the bailout's size"

not true at all. for the backlash to matter, the backlash would have to decrease the sales of the company prior to when they were having problems.

"which means the companies are unsustainable."

it means in their past form they were unsustainable.

im a wings fan and i dont hate the avs, but thats because they are horrible so theres no reason to hate them; back in the 90's though, that was pretty fun.

i think the only people rooting for penguins are pneguins fans and people who hate the wings; wings are alot more proffesional, they dont throw away games like the penguins just did.

level 10 is easy to cost you only 2 lives. go past the first pillar and go down, say down entire time, you will only go through 2 walls. and lvl 11 for the first part you just go up down up down in the same spot 1 unit up 1 unit down. 12 is pretty easy just sat in the cent and go up and down 13 stay just off center and go up and down. 14 i havent completed, seems pretty easy though. well, i tried 5 times, wasted enough of my life.

"If that's the case... then even assuming they don't go bankrupt with a bailout, the industries are no longer contributing to society"

no, because all the people i have talked to isnt a scientific sample of the population, the fact that will alienate a large amount of the customer base, does not mean they will alienate all of them, just means their capacity to earn the owner's money will be limited.

i agree, it does justify stupid actions on the part of businesses, but then again, everyone i've talked to about cars in real life has no intention of buying a chrysler or gm, and if the government bailed coke out, i bet they would loose a ton of customers too, i think the civilians are making them pay for their actions. my neighbor bought Chrysler his entire life, if he needed a car atm, he would buy a Ford.

theres also the fact that the overhead for a auto-make is much much more immense then a soda company. for pepsi to replace a supplier or two is much cheaper then Ford replacing their auto suppliers, especially considering Ford would most likely have to go out of country while theres many companies inside the US that could provide parts for a soda company.

and then the shareholders have lost considerable money, and everyone near the top in both chrysler and GM have been fired, everyone responsable for their past failures has suffered, there is no encouragement for other companies to try do the same.

btw, treat others the way you want to be treated is a lesson reserved for elementary school students who poke each other for no reason, and ignores the diversity that exists within the human population. most men wouldnt ever have a spouse if they treated each woman how they would want to be treated.
