Yah plenty of us are pissed at Bush for "threw away my free market principles" and decided we MUST prop up the top 10%. And we're pissed Obama wants to keep doing it. Bush's rescue bill failed the first vote in the House until the whores got their pork.

Yah plenty of us are pissed at Bush for "threw away my free market principles" and decided we MUST prop up the top 10%. And we're pissed Obama wants to keep doing it. Bush's rescue bill failed the first vote in the House until the whores got their pork.

Obama promised openness and bipartisanship.

Obama sat in a meeting of House Republicans--all of whom got elected in Nov 2008--and told them he'd do it his way because, quote, "I won."

He said all bills would be up on a website 5 days before he signed them. Already failed. Obama's white house website is lamer and slower than Bush's. Bush had transcripts of everything Bush said in public up the same day he said it and archived over all 8 years by subject and setting--press conference, speech, etc--and searchable by date.

The Fairness Doctrine was a federal rule for broadcasters. It says you gotta have equal time for different viewpoints. If you have somebody on your station saying obama will cause inflation, you must give the same airtime to somebody saying Obama won't. If somebody says things 75% of the audience agrees with--"team sports belong in public schools, its all good" the rule means the station must give equal minutes to a view 25% of the audience likes "team sports are a waste, most kids suck" Since anybody can file complaints, the practical effect of the Fairness Doctrine is to eliminate politics from broadcast. Almost all political discussion shows date since the Fairness Doctrine was ended in 1987. Since talk radio is largely rightwing because that is what most radio listeners will listen to, Democrats keep talking about bringing the rule back.

And Democrats are adamant american will not drill new wells offshore, or on federal land, or dig more coal, or build more nuke plants, or put up too many powerlines...

when the free market determines interest rates they're at 23%.

They'll have to be 8% within the decade, anyhow.

Yeah based on the Census all 50 states will redraw every congressional district, and the House of Representatives will decide which states get how many representatives.  California has 52 right now, the most, out of 435.  Maybe it will lose some.  NY lost 3 10 years ago.  Even if the number of districts stay the same, the map is totally based on population density, ethnicity (can't have all white enclaves!!!!) and economics.

BTW the last census was conducted all year in 2000.  The election wasn't until Nov 4 and Bush didn't take office until January 20 2001.

This is a dumb move by Obama to appease his political hack base in the urban districts.

Civil war is pretty likely actually, I give the current constitution another 30 years.
You can see in California where this logic of govt leads to.

And I did blame Bush for being an ass, and Obama is just doubling down, and our Congress is probably the most corrupt outfit in America since we broke up the 5 Families.

Yeah the debate about global warming is long over--your side lost when the models from 1990 blew up. Straightline rising heat, remember? Year after year of heat? Milder winters? Blazing summers? If you can't explain present weather patterns how the bleep can you predict anything? You're reduced to insisting higher CO2 levels from pollution is the culprit...but irl that is not homogenous in our atmosphere, there should be swirling BANDS of CO2 and its bad effects in our atmosphere like Jupiter and you CAN'T see it. There is again just a statistical anomaly AFTER you run the data past SECRET modifiers of global temperature superstition.

Its a power play by Democrats more than recovery. If they could have recovery without new controls they wouldn't want it. They also want a trillion dollars in pork and they want Republicans to agree its all necessary. They may have to settle for 2 out of 3

Hi all.  I am back on the computer, mildly delirious and taking a half day off work.  Anyway one of the things I hve enjoyed doing lately is taking 30 year old tech, a cassette tape recorder, and plugging it into my speakers and recording stuff off youtube and then I reverse the plugs and plug the recorder into the mike of the computer and ply stuff back into the computer, into a sound program, and save it as a mp3 and then post it online sing filezilla.

damn i tpye bad right now, good thing i left early.

anyhow that means I can find the stuff with my smartphone and save it as ringtones! woot

I am tired of supposed adults who feel I am stupid enough to buy their outright lies and obliged to make the effort to find agreement.  I'm not. I hated that when I was paid for it and I won't stand for it for free.

Also I won't hang out with them as if they weren't jackasses. I never do that irl. There's eight guys who hung out with me for years who gave me an ultimatum--either I split the check evenly and paid for 10% of their steaks or we stop hanging out. Hasta la vista, assholes, I'm a bigger dick.

Also I'm spending too much of my life in front of a computer when we need to be fighting back on the streets, organizing around our beliefs before we're destroyed by an incompetent technocracy.  I wonder if BW feels the same way, he's not around either.

Bw invited me here 5 years ago to argue with foriegn yahoos and I think I was a useful zoo exhibit Homo Conservative Americanus.  I like to think responsible Indians and Euros and Chinese will have some insight into my country as they manage their affairs down the road.   Yes, we are that crazy.  That to me justifies the only thread in the forums dedicated to nothing but arguing.

I feel bad about leaving a very hardworking crew and I wanna say here because I won't be in mirc again that I have no grudges and hope no one takes this as an attack.

I feel I should say as well that most of you have no idea how much the mods do for you out of a busy workweek. The level of shit people will take is for themselves to bear and I have had mine but I cringe when I hear the kinds of hours put in and that this person or that person has trouble at home because they are here helping to keep the game going and then they are fed a steady diet of chickenshit as a reward.  Most of you people are great and some of you are redeemable jerks and a few are total assholes who should be purged but it is always the assholes who get vocal, somehow.  You can change that.

I hope I am the only one of the mod-fmod team to run screaming for the tall timber and I will say no more than: its not likely given the way things going for them. And that's up to you folks. Yeah what a willd concept, you behave here to everybody as if you made it a great place to be. I know some people are sputtering mad reading that. Those are the ones I'd purge. Shit even WoW has social blackballs.

I made quite a few friends here and you can reach me at [email protected] though I know how that is.

Later all. I hope you won't see me on TIME magazine with the headline WHY HE DID IT but I can promise nothing...
