What is your opinion of tech II or nothing?
Enlightened people divorce religion from politics. Politics should be based on what is empirically testable, no exceptions. Religion can GTFO of politics. This point is so important to me that it justifies a war of blood and steel, if religious people push it beyond a certain line.

In America, nobody but a potty mouth patriot considers their ancestry "American," unless it is short for "Native American." Therefore, your ancestry is calculated by tracing the nation of origin for the generation that immigrated to the United States. If all lines of your ancestors traced to the generation they immigrated to the US came from France, then you are 100% French. Likewise, if the ancestors from your father's line all originated from France, and Ireland from your mother's line, then you are 50% French and 50% Irish.
Moreover, the nationality of your ancestors prior to the generation they arrived in the US are irrelevant. If one of your lines was from Britain, but that line traces to Norman nobility in 1066, that does not qualify you as French. Or if your ancestor was half Belgian and half German, but lived in and departed from Germany, then you are not Belgian.
I have found a rather interesting pattern in the marriage life of Newt Gingrich. He has so far been remarried every 19 years. Moreover, he was first married at the age of 19.
First marriage:
At the age of 19, Newt Gingrich married his Geometry teacher from High School in 1962. In the spring of 1980 he divorced his first wife and married his second wife in 1981.
1962-1981 = 19 years
Second marriage:
Married in 1981. Divorced in 2000.
What is amusing is that he had an affair with his now third wife during the Lewinski affair under Bill Clinton during his second marriage.
1981-2000 = 19 years
Third marriage:
Married in 2000. Divorce in 2019?
As you can see, Gingrich has a pattern of getting married every 19 years, starting with his first marriage at 19. Is this deliberate? Is Newt up to something here? Will he divorce his third wife in 2019?
I am arguing with more sensible people on other forums.
This forum still has intelligent people who frequent it on occasion, but with such characters we have left today debates have become predictable and unproductive.
1. Yell - One of the best debaters the forum ever had. But he has, for whatever reason, discontinued typing posts of ideal content in favor of one liner analogies that make little sense.
2. Zarf - He's too busy teaching children.
3. WFS - Only pops in once and in a while.
4. Acolyte - A free market fundamentalist who is convinced that government is an outright unnecessary evil. Among of the brightest of anyone here, but also a mad. Yes, mad genius.
5. Avo - Offensive and apparently defends an odd position for the sake of arguing. He adds some spice to debates, but his "arguing for the sake of arguing" habit has gotten old.
6. V.Kemp - Also one of the brightest debaters on IC politics, but offensive and unwavering.
Back when Equilian, Theodora, House Jarvin, JA, JAisgay, Thunder Hawk and Lizzy were around, the politics forum was far more lively and fostered productive debate. With the combination of characters we have left today, good debate just doesn't happen anymore.

Well, it's not his fault those stupid Liberals handed him a huge mess, Vietnam. His options were limited, and given those options he performed well. Overall, however, he maintained the balance of power, and had the balls to be ruthless to do it. Recent administrations have been cowardly, and they have only managed to disrupt the balance of power and fail to capitalize on opportunities.
Kissinger was like Bismarck, and Reagan was like Wilhelm II. Sorry to burst your bubble.
I wasn't even being serious about the land standard. I just think a gold standard is not necessarily. The monetary system can be stable if you prevent systemic externalities. Our government, on the other hand, only creates them when it pushes for policies to increase "social justice" and home ownership. It should let banks make rational decisions, and only regulate when necessarily to prevent undesirable externalities, like pollution from factories or risky investments by banks. And don't say that the market corrects externalities, because a purely free market has never existed to test that claim, and it is unlikely that such a system will happen.
We need Henry Kissinger back. He was the God of diplomacy.

Besides, the value of gold changes too. Land is also much more useful, while gold just looks pretty.

I am 50% German. One of my German lines descends from Junkers in eastern Prussia, and another is from Magdeburg. I have no know idea what status the Magdeburg line had, but I think they were peasants. The Junker line was quite well off with many being professionals like bankers or owners of printing companies. The other line was, until recently, farmers.
Speaking of the German military, I just think it's funny that my ancestors were Junkers, and they never served in the US military.
I want Obama to send the pacific fleet as a threat to China, and assemble a ground/air force to retake North Korea. Time for the US to stop be pussies.

WTF? Did you hear her response? She did not describe the role of the VP accurately. Yes the office is president of the Senate, but that is mostly a ceremonial role. Her answer described it has having a considerably greater role in the legislature than it actually does.
I hope that Palin is not nominated. She represents the faction of the religious right within the Republican party. Those mofos are disturbing as hell. Furthermore, Palin is a moron who has made foolish responses to questions asked by the press, and she didn't even know what the job of the VP was when she was on McCain's ticket.
Between Obama and Palin, I will go for Obama. However, I hope a moderate in the Republican party can win. By moderate I mean conservative on economic issues (pro business, low taxes, pro trade) and more liberal on social issues (pro abortion, no abstinence education and no imposing public morality).

I'm 5'7" (170.1 meters) and 125 lbs (56.69 kg). So no, losing weight isn't my worry hehe. I just want to eat healthy so I can delay my body's decay. I want to be healthy and youthful as long as I can.
Okay, I suppose I can eat more chicken and beef, even if it's a bit pricey. Isn't pork unhealthy though?
I don't have diabetes. I want to eat healthier.
Fruit may be nature's candy, but it's not the same as the refined crap in most other foods. But overall I try to keep the amount of sugar I eat to 40 grams.
I am trying to minimize dairy, sugar and flour in my diet. So here is what I have been consuming lately.
1. Plain Greek yogurt
2. Oatmeal (lots of Oatmeal, and not the instant kind)
3. Cranberries
4. Light Cranberry juice (5 grams of sugar in 8 oz serving).
5. Fish, mainly Salmon
6. Fuji Apples
7. Turkey sandwiches on whole wheat bread
8. Plain Almond milk
9. Carrots and Broccoli with ranch dressing
Anything else I should include that is cheap? Cut anything out?
