Not implemented yet.

He's sorta right though ...generally an ass to people, but usually good ideas.

Very humble too!

lol, bad troll is bad

Poley is setting up the Pinwheel one, so I'm sure he'll do this for Milky Way too smile  We have 6 mods afterall wink

Okay, given this thread, it seems that Pinwheel players are taking control of their galaxy and wanting to run it the way they want.

They want a full drafted galaxy (essentially like ICC/ICPG styles - from what I make of it).

So, lets do the same for Milky Way!  Or at least lets choose how the setup should work in Milky Way.  It might be something totally different, it might be the same.

/shrug

At this stage though, I propose we choose a Setup Designer.  This person will be responsible for designing Milky Way 52 (within the realms of what can be done, obviously) and then we all play with that setup!

Lets vote for who we want for this position.  Is this a popularity contest?  Probably so!  But who cares, lets get someone who might have some ideas of how to run this smile  If you want your name added to this list, let me know and i'll edit the post.  Also enabling people to change their vote, based on new entries etc!

Chosen 4 "high profile" MW names for now!

Go go go!

How is this Pinwheel? tongue

And no, MW can't do what they want.  MW doesn't want 1 draft per fam.  It was enforced upon MW.

In fact, it's a good idea.  Maybe we could open up a thread like this for MW smile

Don't get me wrong, the idea is good, and i like it.  But someone has to think for the whole player-base, so I'm just trying to be objective.

If it goes ahead, sign me up as a Player!

It 'is' almost the same smile  It's full draft - just the method of how the draft works is different.  That and you want the player pool, just to be the Pinwheel players.

Again, I like the idea.  But I just prefer that something like this be extended to MW too.

Ah ok, just read.

Well yea, and what happens to new players who want to join during the round?

Like I said, I kinda like this idea.  It's why we've run ICC and ICPG in the past.  It's exactly the same, except now you want to run it in PW.  PW loses it's identity of being the always random galaxy.

Essentially you're taking the leaders and hopefully properly distributing the players to allow more even teams. This is a form of drafting, and among the leaders you're trying to make the teams even.  It's  alot of work to do, but yea, I also see it as a good idea.

I'm just saying the same thing should be extended to MW or anyone else, really.

MW is supposed to be the draft Galaxy.  It's gone from 3-5 drafts recently (and up to 6-8 previously) to 1.
PW is supposed to the be random Galaxy (all PWers have said they love this fact and they never want drafting). But now youw ant to make it 100% drafting?

Don't know, just doesn't make sense.  What I'm saying then, is why not allow MW their drafts back too?  Afterall, MW is where the drafts are supposed to be.

And yea, what happens to the PW randoms then?

This seems cool smile

But why limit it only to PW players?  To me, it seems like an ICC we've run before, with just different methods for choosing the team.

Why don't you allow all players to join?

My suggestion:

  • Close Milky Way.  Close Pinwheel. Open up a new galaxy with 1-2 drafts, depending on fam size (that way it's a balance between PW and MW, MW used to be close to 50% drafted at some stages and now it's just 1-2 drafts, so its at least better).

  • Do this Render idea, in a new galaxy, call it, I dunno, Helix/Pegasus/SomethingNew/etc and allow all players who want to lead/play be involved with it

Deleting, perhaps.

As for vmode, I think that was a misconception.  It seems to have been disabled for Tournament Rounds (it's a different galaxy setting), not against HC.  So like I said, for ICC, ICPG etc, no vmoding.  And also for KOTH on Hill Planets only.  But for Hardcore setting, doesn't seemed to have ever been in place.

But yea, moot point now.

With respect to your NAP cancellation, you openly admitted, that because the date wasn't stipulated you would cancel for your own advantage.

Then I had a conversation with Mizzle where he was questioning why you would lie to him, your allies.

Either way, like I said, don't bring me into your unethical behaviour.

Answer:  Yes, Vmoding was allowed in Hardcore Galaxies.  It was only disabled in Tournament Rounds (e.g. ICC/ICPG).  I think hardcore galaxies were not part of this.

Question:  Should we allow Vmode in hardcore galaxies?
Answer:  No, probably not.

Question:  Does it matter?
Answer:  Nope, not at the moment.  Vmode has been disabled for everyone since it hasn't been working correctly.  Reference.

Unfortunately, the Vacation Mode feature has not been quite working correctly.

As a result, this has been temporarily disabled.

There have been a few issues as of late which, I can assure you, the whole team is working towards fixing.  There remains to be a strong focus in getting IC up to scratch and hopefully you can notice the activity around.

Apologies for all the inconveniences! We really do appreciate your patience and understanding!

Correct, if a rollback occurs, it has to be done ic-wide.

I didn't just limit it to PW.

I said do it to MW too.

Let's create a new identity!

Who says it was known earlier?  It was known like a day or two before you msged, at which point we were already working on it.

Lets keep the accusations and what not out of this thread please.

Thanks.

Sorry, perhaps I should make this even clearer, given it's you.  The reason for this, is that there's 32 possible outcomes after 5 games.  Being:

1: Mob, Mob, Mob, Mob, Mob
2: Twn, Mob, Mob, Mob, Mob
3: Mob, Twn, Mob, Mob, Mob
4: Twn, Twn, Mob, Mob, Mob
...
...
32: Twn, Twn, Twn, Twn, Twn

Therefore, 1/32 = 3.125%
