we all know what we gotta do

1. Admit we're all in it together, and we ahve to work together to build a better America where we never have to make excuses to each other for a failed society.  Each of us has to do that.
2. Buy $5 trillion worth of Euro all at once. A friday would be best. Just print it.
3. On Saturday link the dollar to the Euro at 100:1
4. Monday morning pay everybody off with our $500,000,000,000,000 worth of Euro
5. Restor the dollar to 1:1.  Have a holiday
6. Go to DEFCON 2 til China has a revolution and its safe

i'd prefer they'd leave it alone OR get rid of Medicare adn just give block grants to states for healthcare, and open up insurance to interstate competition.

by having medicare they have an artificial national market for healthcare

health care prices keep going up because Uncle Sucker will pay the bill no matter what

but this country is screwed becasue most people do not believe There Aint No Such Thing As A Free Lunch.  What any citizen needs is so insignificant compared to a national budget of $2,100,000,000,000, that they may as well get it.  Where govt gets it is just theory!  But the value of our dollar is just theory too...

I heard in 2007 that 30% of America was born since 1980  that means 1/3 of us have no freaking clue what double digit inflation looks like. Oh baby.

oh and re Auto Insurance: it covers a crash, not maintenance.  Unlike health insurance.

Operating a motor vehicle is legally a privilege, not a right.  So IF you wanna drive on the street you have to buy a minimum level of insurance, OR lose your license.

They didn't order every adult to prove auto insurance or get hit with tax fines.

It's doomed.

- Congress just voted to extend the annual debt limit to $12.2 trillion dollars.  This means the listed federal debt will be allowed to rise to $12.2 trillion dollars.  This does NOT include the Social Security rollover, because that IOU by Congress to itself for all the money collected by Social Security taxes, plus what was rolled over from last year, plus a year's interest, is actually considered an asset.

The total value of goods and services produced in the United States last year was only $14 trillion.

- Obama says we still have to spend money to save the economy, so suck it.

- Medicare was passed in 1965.  They ran estimates of its cost in 2010. We're already 30x past those estimates.  There's a Medicare surplus fund that Congress kept to tide the program over in tough times.  It's been in the red $5 billion for 2 years now.

- Bush passed a prescription drug entitlement through a Republican Congress.  It's an entitlement for seniors, so like Rush Limbaugh says, he can hold up his prescriptiosn to the pharmacist and say "Thanks for the freebie, sucker".  They also ran cost estimates for years ahead.
It was already 2x as expensive as estimated after three years.

- This health care "reform" puts more unfunded mandates on states -- federal orders that the state do soemthing with no federal money to help the states do it.  States only get money by sucking it out of their state economy or borrowing.

- The health care "reform" will punish doctors who submit too many Medicare bills by refusing to fully repay doctors who submit the top 10% of Medicare bills.  So in other words, a doctor reads up on what medicare lets him charge, sends in the bills, and if by chance he saw too many Medicare patients compared to other doctors in America, he gets paid less. There's a simple way to avoid that...

- The health care "reform" orders you to buy insurance from a for profit company or owe a tax penalty.  That's the first time in the history of the United States that Congress tried that.  Do you think it will be the last time?

- Socialists think double digit employment with 50% tax rates is usual.

most places will hit you with "public drunkeness" if you're not on private property

remember your neck is 3' higher than the horse's so if Mr. Ed thinks he can dodge a tree limb you may be SOL
also if you fall off and hit your head
also if you fall off but don't fall out of the stirrups
also if you let the horse bite, trample or kick somebody or something important

Ok I watched that and I see anthropology is still up to its old tricks

1.  Are they saying that 2 distinct separate human species arose out of chance at the same time? That's a pretty frickin huge coincidence.  I mean I know they gloss over it in this video "OK well um yeah see Neanderthals? Not homo sapiens. So you're wrong that humans don't evlove. OK now forget that, let's talk fusion."  I'm like, OK wtf perfesser, you're saying that two totally separate species of hairy-ass knuckledraggers decided to indepedently bunch off into upright walking, spearchucking painters with recognizably human cultures, within 1 million years of each other? I thought spontaneous speciaziation was the sort of ludicrous improbability that marked a Jesus freak?  Conscious design by Allah and Buddha over the objection of Jesus Christ is actually MORE plausible than that scenario.

2. I saw reference to "estimated timeframe of deviation"--not that Saganite canard!  Oi, egghead- you DON'T have measured intervals of genetic upheaval, THEREFORE you can't make a clock out of them!

3.  An ERV might very well hit a chimp and human at the same spot in the chromosone sequence--they share a good deal of the chromosone sequence and for most of history shared the same environment, so they'd have a better chance of, say, both eating raw pig meat and getting something nasty that lingered in their oh-so-simian balls.
