It is proof that "global consensus" can be completely wrong. <
So the point is irrelevant, and the post pointless.
Do you remember when half the forum would drop on you like Gary Glitter on Peter Pan for such antics? I miss those days.
> > Why is it that ALL American right-wingers think that everyone else is too stupid to be able to tell the difference between a cool disaster movie and real life? Do they think we are their children or something? <
Because major American true-science magazines like Scientific American and Popular Mechanics ran articles by PhDs that the cataclysmic events of the then-current flick were in fact highly realistic and quite probable. Glad you also think they're toking too hard, now please come over here and school them? <
And American stupidity is relevant to a non-American because...?
> PS: Linky! http://www.sciam.com/article.cfm?id=abrupt-climate-change <
This article does not say what you think it says; I see nothing that could be used to back up a real life world-freezing-overnight scenario. I see it referring to what I would call cold snaps and heat waves (which are apparently as rare as rocking-horse shit [\sarcasm]), but whatever made you think that that article was being used as proof of anything I do not know.
> PPS I didn't think it was that cool, a killer wave of water a mile high moving in at 200 mph looks like fog moving at 0 mph. Remember that bit of Hurricane Gustav where Geraldo got washed out to sea (almost)? <
I guess only one of us remembered to suspend belief before pressing "play".

I'm starting to wonder if Americans all have "special" eyes that only allow them to see what they want to see.
What, you mean beat them to death and then rape them because they obviously want it because you can clearly see her boobs, bum, legs, the teasing slut.
I can think of... Six men that think like that.

Have you ever noticed how some people just give off an aura? You don't honestly know why, but when you look at man A you get feeling Z. With me so far? Good.
I don't know why but when I look at Obama I get an aura of superiority, of arrogance, of something I can only really describe as Senator Palpatine Syndrome. I got this feeling with New Labour and Tony Blair, especially when Tony clinical-psychopath Blair smiled, and I get it now with Obama.
But only when I consider Bush and Obama together.
It's insane, I know, maybe I need to stop watching Star Wars Epsiodes I - III, but I can't get over the feeling that something is... not wrong, more not right, about the whole thing.

Maybe I should double up on my pills for a while?

Some big cities which are hardcore Democrat however will be an issue, like San Antonio <
So, what you're saying is that I can only do what I want with my privately owned land in Democrat-run American states? How interesting!
Sorry, couldn't resist it.

NO - few decades back they where piping on about global cooling and what we gonna do when earth freezes over... <

Why is it that ALL American right-wingers think that everyone else is too stupid to be able to tell the difference between a cool disaster movie and real life? Do they think we are their children or something?

So was there a point to your, um, counter-argument?
If you spent each day with a different wife it would take you almost three months to see the wife you started with again. How can you be considered a husband by a woman that only sees you three times a year (four if she's a favourite)?

The climate is changing, the patterns are shifting, the cycles are breaking, and what does the most adaptive, most successful animal on the planet do? It wastes decades of precious time arguing over the cause and then has the gall to look surprised when the weather "suddenly" makes life difficult.
I hate you all.

Neurosis always provides a good soundtrack when I go for a swim in my subconscious.

To me and my corner of the world, yes. Sorry you can't handle the fact that none of those things are happening here, but I'll tell you what: When Flint's prophecy about how the world will descent into anarchy and chaos (once America falls into civil war) comes true, and Britain is a shit-pit of fear, hate, and death, I will immediately buy this album (which you apparently love like a daughter) and enjoy it's relevance.
Assuming I'm alive.
> you don't have to waste your time to post in this thread Fokker <
So just because you hate the fact that I cannot connect with this album (because my life is free of shit) you think my entry into this discussion should be prohibited? And that is my fault why? ![]()

Are you a virgin? Christian? Total bloody retard? ![]()
Look, just because you trust someone, does not mean you CAN trust them.
I trusted my wife, enough to marry her, have unprotected sex with her, and unknowingly catch several unpleasant diseases from her by the end of year three.
Also: I care about my friend, Jud. He's a good guy, a child in a mans body really. He's also a raging heroin addic and I wouldn't trust him with... well, anything.
Just because you care, does not mean that you trust. That does not mean you are uncaring, that means you are smart.

I wish, it's been years since I last went to a festival... Last one was Reading @ 00 or 01. I watched those satisfy my craving, kind of like a nictotine patch.

Napalm Death rules all.
__________
When I was about eight or nine I was watching the John Peel show with my step father and mother when he introduced this new band called Napalm Death. Mum gasped "Good GOD!" Dad said "That's NOT music." and I said "I like it".
For my birthday I was force-fed Bon Jovi. X(
I think that broke me in some way because from that moment onwards I have been on an odd musical mission to find the most extreme music I can find, which has lead me through Death and Black metal to the likes of the 'Thrakh, and through electronic stuff to the likes of Venetian Snares, Speedranch, Whitehouse... even some hardcore (sorry).
Just been checking my Cha-profile and realised I forgot to explain something:
I'm going to leave the details of my description to others. ![]()

False prophets? Hmm. Would the healers on God Christian Channel count?
"Only I-ah, have the pow-ah, to save-ah, your soul-ah! Join-ah, join with me and sing-ah, sing the lord praise-ah!"
Erm... which lord?
Now that we agree there is a problem, what do we do about it?
All of his songs are irrelevant and gay... unless he sells in either the Middle East or The Admiral Duncan.

Oh no, I read it through, and my questions still stands. Jesus was trying to tell you something, it is a shame you would rather listen to the words put in his mouth than the words that came out.
"I am the son of God, we are all children of God"

So the only way I can be certain of my lessons having a real, and lasting, effect on the world is if I convince people I am a product of the divine, or perform some kind of miracle?

You'd be amazed at the things people will do under torture, like develop Iron Will Syndrome. Don't know what the correct name for that is.

Look at it this way; Would Christianity be where it is today if 2000 years ago man was simply asked to accept good advice from a carpenter who thought too much?
