yeah I feel that the pro choicers are like those people who would eat a nice succulent steak but would get sick when visiting a slaughterhause and seeing with their own eyes how the production chain works from the cow to their plate.

The assumption that an unborn child is not legally relevant unless it pops out of the uterus stems from times where giving birth was a highly risky business. Abortion is really just a fancy word for murder. However our society does not consider every murder to be a criminal act.

It's pretty ironic that pro choicers are usually the quintessential inclusivist bunch that like to preach about how the government should allow in more immigrants and take care of poor people, yet they have no problems trampeling on the most innocent of beings but it's not murder it's just removal of some unwanted tissue hmm

Justinian, a phd should always be a plus on your resume. I can't really think of any academic field where this is not the case (though your mileage may vary as they say)... it's like your basic university diploma, at the time it's less efficient than going for a (higher) paid job immediatly but ultimately you end up in a much higher pay scale. Of course like a basic university diploma if you flunk out without a phd then that's less efficient, but ultimatly that's mostly a matter of discipline (if you're good enough to get the job you should be good enough to do it if you apply yourself to it).

Sitting Duck, in what field would you be active with your phd... I'm very curious!

I found primo's facebook page with contains another pic for this competion!

maybe they'll add more multiplayer in an expansion? you know when the initial rush wears off they find ways of making even more money...

edit: also avogadro I tried to read that ghetto link but it's written pretty incomprehensibly, I do get it enough to understand that I'm supposed to shake my skinny little fists at blizzard entertainment but the intricate details elude me still

yes master yoda

"If, for example, you are Laurence Tribe in 1984, Harvard professor of law, leftist pillar of the establishment, you can "write" your magnum opus by using the products of your student assistant, Ron Klain. A decade later, after Klain admits to having written some parts of the book, and the other parts are found to be verbatim or paraphrases of a book published in 1974, you can claim (perhaps correctly) that your plagiarism was "inadvertent," and you can count on the Law School's dean, Elena Kagan, to appoint a committee including former and future Harvard president Derek Bok that issues a secret report that "closes" the incident."

At my university if you get caught for plagiarism they perform a damnatio memoriae smile

you're not giving a lot of information to go on though, what sort of job would it be?

I went the phd route (which to be honest is actually well paid in my country and university) and haven't ever regretted it, because even the hard parts were fulfilling and fun to put it all mushy. Not to mention the return on investment of a phd is pretty big. I also appreciated the opportunity that I was given, phd's are the highest academic degree and not many people have them and you get to do something useful for society by writing them.

given the content of your dilemma I take it you're pretty young (23-25ish?) so you probably don't have a lot of life's obligations like paying off loans, filling up truck sized cars or paying for the kids so a pay cut of 200 pounds shouldn't be that big a deal unless you're already earning a pittance right now.

If I were to give you some normal sounding advice it would be something like this. Your ultimate rehabilitation is to find someone else to care about. It's been over for 2 years, well it's time to get over it! But don't just go for a quick rebound because you're probably in a bad emotional state and potential mates (oooh I'm almost straying into abnormal advice sad) will notice this, and when the quick fix girls reject you you'll be even worse off emotionally. So you need to do some serious soul searching, think about something(s) you've always wanted to do or things you've wanted to improve about yourself and then just do it. Love sickness is really just a chemical reaction in the brain. There is no such thing as a love for life you're destined to be with (okay getting dangerously close to abnormal advice again). There's simply potential mates some great some not so great that you will meet throughout your life. I hope that you will pick yourself up and find a new great mate that sticks with you for the rest of your life this time, I really do.
