Render, I joined same round as ariana to be exact tongue.

Also, I have contributed enough (in the form of pvc's, helping out noobies, helping out experienced players, locating multies, finding bugs and putting some effort into explaining them), that I have been promised tag points on multiple occasions. To this date, I have none.

And I have gotten the same response as Lee multiple times: they were overhauling the tag point system, and because of that it wouldn't make any difference for them to give me tag points as in a short period of time they'd be erased.

The halloween tag was of last year (2011), so even if it was temporary, I doubt the period would be so short that even before another halloween had passed my tag would've been taken away from me again.

In short: I want my tag >:(

So, I noticed these 2 were on your page as well:

ic_planet_page_+.user.js    Ic Planet Page +    2011-Mar-28 21:10:42    8.86 KB

vip_map_page_transformat.user.js    Vip Map Page Transformat    2009-Jul-21 16:45:54    2.94 KB

What are they? tongue

Script    Description    Last Modified    Size
ic_fleet_boss_chrome.user.js    Ic Fleet Boss Chrome    2012-Jul-10 20:55:35    8.54 KB
ic_map_links_chrome.user.js    Ic Map Links Chrome    2012-Jul-10 20:55:35    8.08 KB

both those links don't seem to work, give me the 404 error.

FD should be keeping track of what I am owed, but I don't trust the old man's mind to be able to remember things that long!

"You bet your ass!" = archaic English, which can be losely translated to: "betting one's most precious possession". In ye olde times, a donkey, or an "ass", was worth more than a woman. In fact, one could trade one ass for at least two wifes. Asses were used as multifunctional units, being capable of transporting equipment or people, pushing/pulling equipment forward, kicking the buttocks of that annoying neighbour of yours who keeps stealing your turnips. They were not as dim as horses, and therefore very useful for people having to deal with dangerous situations (for example, moving along a steep cliff): a horse might just walk off at a random point in time, an ass would never. Additionally, for some people, they could even fulfill the roles of women. To conclude: an ass was a much priced possession, and "to bet one's ass" was not to be done in vain.

"To my knowledge, no one has attempted to segregate U.S. life-expectancy figures by insurance status. But based on the data we have, it

He wasn't quoting, he was paraphrasing.

Still, the fact that this article was written by someone with a phd does not necessarily mean it is of  a high quality. Where did this man do his promotion/where did he study? Was this article published in a peer reviewed magazine or simply posted on this website? I am not familiar with www.nationalcenter.org so I can't say anything about whether it is a trustable website. If it was published in a peer reviewed magazine, what magazine was that and how many times was the article quoted?

I doubt this article was of very good quality. As others have mentioned, the title of the article makes it seem like this is a populous, reactive article, biased, poorly researched and poorly written: not conform with the rules regarding scientific papers. [EDIT: Before there was some criticism on Table 2 here, regarding references, but I  looked closer and found his source, although not explicitely stated under the table with publication date and etc which is important to include with tables and such]

To summarize: the fact it was written by someone with a phd does not necessarily mean anything!
