According to the new york times Obama was responsible for Stuxnet by increasing its funds and allowing more attacks.

First time in the history of his presidency I have to admit at last he has done something right. I still believe it will cost the US centuries to produce another failure like Obama and it might even involve genetic manipulation. But for once, he has done well.(if this info is correct that is)

Part of the extreme is explained by the history of Spain. They had a totalitarian regime that works nowhere except for Justinians wet dreams. Next to that the austrians have gaz, oil, uranium and hydro power (about the only alternative energy source I really believe in).

...that doesn't explain the difference, only why it is possible that it is so extreme.

France is all for it, but other important members are firmly against like Germany, Portugal and the Netherlands. Its highly unclear if it will ever become a reality or not.

The question for this forum is, is it a good thing or not?

"If the majority are dumb enough to vote for it, face it: They deserve it."
Its very well possible 60 to 70 of the people voted otherwise but they still yield power. What about the minority smart ones in your example?

"Democracy is no different from Theocracy. It assumes its own correctness."
lol, it holds some truth.

Democracy is imperfect. You could vote an autocracy as an example of that. That doesn't mean other systems are better. Churchill was right.

congrats btw einstein.
