I suggested this to Stefan ages and ages ago, he said he liked it, but then never did anything with it. So i'll take it this way.

If IC were to release some sort of official template for an IC advertisement poster, players can print this out all over the world, and hang it whereever they think is appropriate.

Just print it out, hang it at work, on school, in your favourite bar, or whereever.

Alternatvely, mods can start a design contest.

In addition to this a prize could be offered for the person that has the most original picture of himself with an IC advertisement poster.

i'm not too sure we should be promoting VIP's that much anyway, if stefan isnt investing in advertisement or whatever tongue

Draco is nice and all, but these days you can play pw and mw, and possibly orion

would you really pay for a vip for a 4th galaxy?
draco was there so you could play 2 galaxies at once, everyone has that featre now.

i feel we are making this more complicated than it needs to be
plus we're inserting other ideas into this thread

No, blood values, as in, hematocrit values and red blood cell levels.

Also, I believe cyclists are banned from using syringes unless there is no other way of administering medicine, in which case you need a written testimony.

Also, it has been claimed Armstrong was caught, however the UCI (cycling union) was bribed. A couple of years back, Pat McQaid, the current chairman of the UCI has admitted the UCI had gotten huge amounts of "gifts" from Amstrong in the years of the accusations.

And you still didn't counter a couple of points tongue

- He was "training" with well-known doping expert Michelle Ferrari
- His team manager was Johan Bruyneel, who has a remarkable record of his riders being doped up
- A former masseuse of his' claims she had to dispose of syringes for him
- His personal assistant has claimed he found doping in Armstrong's hotel room
- There has been evidence of Armstrong's blood values changing an awful lot during the tour, but the evidence was dismissed as it was obtained whilst breaking privacy rules

All in all, there's a pretty decent case against him.

Couple of things

- Beckham is not a football legend.
- It has been proven Armstrong made donations to the WADA (World Anti-Doping-Agency)
- Drugs tests taken by Armstrong have mysteriously disappeared.
- 10 (i believe) American ex-team mates of Armstrong testified against him (which counts as evidence).
- Obama has nothing to do with USADA, it's an independant agency that is not allowed to be influenced by politics, if it is, US should be banned from all sports ASAP.
- France has nothing to do with a decision made by the USADA, and they do not gain from it either (none of the 2nd placed riders are french)
- The cycling sport is not just held in France.

and as for the enforcing core deals thing
it's hard for a family to communicate cores between families if you can't do it ingame.
Just IA it, you can't enforce cores in chat only. (only very rough "don't get into sector 2" kinda things)

you are right, in mw 2% is too much.
i think a set number might be better than a %.
i am on my phone atm, so not easy to check, but i imagine 1% of planets in pw is a bit low.

Jag, part of this idea is to limit cores.
Imo you shouldn't be allowed to make core demands in NAPS anymore, and seeing as pretty much everyone demands more than 10-20 systems when they NAP, this will significantly reduce the amount of core systems in the galaxy.

Sharing core/making it attackable when in war kinda defeats the point imo, its not safe then anymore.

Personally, I don't see the problem in having a set cluster per family (give every family 9 home systems directly touching eachother in stead of 1) That way you don't have problems with cores crossing families, and locations are equal for everyone.

568

(48 replies, posted in Ideas)

I am thinking that would be a great start, but why not make core size a setting in the interface, so you can adjust it when resestting a round.
If 2% isn't good, next round, new chances.

i do know them tongue

i think it is easier to find an answer, if you analyze the problem first.

we have a very complex problem that quite probably reinforces itself in multiple ways.

the main problem is, where back in the day a top 10 ranking was a great achievement, nowadays its not worth a damn thing (there are only 20 families, so yea). Meaning that if you lose a war, you are basicalyl screwed for the rest of the round. This, for some people is enough reason to do whatever they can to make sure they don't lose. And to make sure that once a war is won, the loser definitely will not be able to come back.

true enough
maybe having set banker/attacker/resourcer couples or something could be good, but just SS strats would sincerely limit the variety of gameplay, imo.

anyway, we're skipping a step, i think we should define what honour is first (set the code) and then afterwards think of ways to achieve it.
