Because his reason as to why Obama may win the elections is, again, too biased for anyone to take seriously.

Who are the 3 "high ranking democrats"?

And also: http://nbcpolitics.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/10/19/14556980-gop-registration-worker-charged-with-voter-fraud?lite

It seems everyone wants some of the fraud candy.

This thread was going better than expected until I read this: "Already 3 high ranking Democrats have been caught involved in vote fraud planning."

I stopped reading at that point.

I commend you for being able to write a somewhat reasonable, even if partisan, half a post! big_smile

So you prefer to hate on someone who may or may not be able to minimally affect gas prices rather than singling out the people who do have control over it and couldn't care less about you if they tried?

I like your logic.

I'm not following the logic... the floods will only prevent democrats from voting in NY? So are you saying republicans are half man half fish? tongue

So you are saying Obama has effectively managed to slow down the transporting industry as well as raising prices? That's a great feat.

The problem is your ideology and thinking on how to tackle the the challenges of tomorrow are quite outdated. If you do not start to find real solid alternatives to oil you'll be having this same debate in a few years all over again, but with much more dire consequences.

Could Obama make an effort to lower gas prices? Maybe, even keeping in mind the government does not control gas prices. But I think he is correct for at least trying to raise awareness and some sense of urgency about alternatives.

If you guys are so upset at outrageous gas prices, why don't you go protest outside the offices of your beloved corporations who actually do control gas prices and make billions and billions of profit every year?

He doesn't want higher prices, like Spock quoted and you admitted he said?
He didn't make the destruction of the older model vehicle with silicate, a condition for the cash towards a new vehicle in Cash for Clunkers?
He doesn't push the Volt? It gets better than 50 miles a charge?
He isnt' pushing high-speed rail? High speed rail will carry your cars along?

Or you mean, he did all that but it doesn't add up to wanting destruction of the automobile economy? He's oblivious to the damage he's doing?

>I'm glad you're so self righteous. I wish I lived in that world too.<

Self-righteous apparently = winning with facts.

those are all good measures towards energy independence and making sure we are more environmental friendly.

it's still not the same as wanting to destroy the auto industry.

Yes it will sweep Obama off his feet and send him to Neverland. Although, he does fly on his broom, so if the hurricane hits during the night you'll be able to spot him flying against the moonlight.

He doesn't actually do any of that, but you guys are too deep in your own anti-Obama mentality that it's near impossible to have an actual debate with you.

I'm glad you're so self righteous. I wish I lived in that world too.

Ok a couple of things:

- you need to watch your language and your general tone in this forums; everyone else is not posting for your entertainment or for you to take your issues out on them; you have been warned about this before.

- I did not say he doesn't want "gas prices to raise", I just highlighted Yell's comment which is a total exageration; I doubt Obama wants prices to rise, but it is natural for them to do so when based on a finite and highly demanded resource. As you posted, he does say a gradual rise would be preferable and that we need to go on a different reaction. It's all self evident tbh.

Seeing as the current round seems to be going less than perfectly, we would like to ask those interested to provide some input on what characteristics you think would better fit a hardcore style of play. This will include:

- number of families

- number of players per family

- starting resources

- number of Defense Stations available

- lenght of the round

- number of sectors, systems and size of the map

- overall goal, if any

Please keep in mind this is meant to be a hardcore galaxy so no NAPs will be allowed.

Thx for your help!

Planet trades that are not between family or allied members are not allowed. The exception to this would be for planet compensation for NAP agreements or attacks that violated NAP agreements. In NAP situations, the receiving family cannot request specific coordinates. A first offense will be punished with a 5 day temporary block, followed by a permanent account block for further offenses.

I hope everyone realizes this isn't allowed and will result in IA and lead to blocks tongue

Ok so now that everyone has vented their anger at the forum rules, let's dismiss this case!
