My solution: Deal with it.

No, seriously.

As long as you recognize the bias of sources, you will know that any individual source is illegitimate, and thus force yourself to use multiple sources to gain information, then decide for yourself what to believe.

For some reason, I have a feeling Justinian's method of moderating would include mass identity thefts...  big_smile

If a business is of such importance to society that its downfall would bring about a downfall in a society at large... doesn't that mean said business should be propped up at least until a replacement can be constructed?

Now I feel stupid for just learning that the Northwest Territories were divided to create a new province 9 years ago.  sad

Canada has a giant pile of land which has very little population whatsoever.  The VAST majority of its people reside in the south.

The US has people everywhere.  Urban cities, suburbs, rural towns, etc.

I'm looking for some... hell, any... market/economic websites.  If it's a website that offers day-to-day analysis of economies, stock markets, commodities, or anything else that can be bought or sold, I want it!  (And no, I don't care about country of origin, political bias, or anything.  As long as the websites are even slightly legitimate in their credentials).  smile

Usually, I just rely on a couple of the big name sites.  Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The Economist, etc.  But that's not enough.  I want them all!  Optimists, pessimists, those people who tell you every day to stockpile canned foods because the global economy's going to collapse the next day... all of em!

Basically, I'm compiling a list for lots of my own research.  Lots and lots of reading for me.

But anyway, name them off!  Thanks for the help, everyone!

Yeah, I took the idea from the threads of Flint and Noir.

Pretty simple concept.  Make a post introducing yourself for new and returning people on the forums.  Post about your own history, some background info, a background of your beliefs, favorite ice cream flavor, etc.

Some notes:
1: Please only comment about yourself.  I will ask a moderator to edit your post if it's used as a rebuttal to someone else.
2: If you want to update something, please just edit the original post, so we don't end up having 50 pages of introductions for no reason.

With that, let's see how this works!

Why in the hell would McCain choose his VP so soon after the DNC?  Not good for trying to get your moment in the spotlight.

Flint... get the copyright as well.

Patent covers you for about 12 years max.  Copyright covers you for the life of the author (you) plus 70 years.  Big difference.

I'll propose two.  big_smile

1: US/NATO/Israeli effort to slow down Iran's nuclear program.

2: Iran's nuclear program is done, and they need to silence the witnesses.  At the same time, it would appear to slow down the nuclear timeline, giving the US a supposed breath of fresh air so negitiations continue, rather than first strike.

I would so win that one!  I haven't used much divine intervention so far, so I've got alot of it stored up to counter Obama.  smile

Gotta say, I was impressed that Kennedy gave a speech at the DNC, even if it was a short one.  While I'm not really in agreement over politics... it is quite impressive that he would bring himself out of a sickbed to give a speech there.
