"Do Belgians have sex scandals?"
Not much. We don't have a president and nobody cares where the king sticks his.

"a one world non-elected government"
non-elected = elected by one or a few man?

And I thought I was being sarcastic with this thread.

On a more serious note, I wonder what will happen. He can't use a lot of force without international condemnation yet  the protest doesn't seem to be large enough to have an all out revolt. I think it will remain status-quo for a while.

Normally, the local television news is about a miss election or a horse that got into the canal by accident. But these days, all you hear about is the Taksim square!

What do all those Islamic-oriented nations have to do with large central squares? Can't they be original and occupy an unknown building or farm? They're obsessed with squares like Zarf with trains!

I propose to build a large mosque inside each square to prevent these annoying events from happening and the appointment of Justinian as head of police to crush anyone who wants to obstruct.

That will teach them a lesson to intervene with our normal news broadcast.

For those who don't know what I'm talking about and want a 100% reliable and uncensored source:
http://english.ruvr.ru/news/2013_05_21/ … -US-taxes/
http://www.aljazeera.com/business/2013/ … 22483.html

On a more serious note it tells me 2 things:
- taxes are to high in general
- the principle of paying some taxes in one country only(often a fiscal paradise abroad)  can only be applied if there are better rules.

Let me be clear, I'm not against the principle itself. A company shouldn't pay its taxes twice. But the way its applied many small companies pay the bill instead, facing ever increasing taxes. Its a stupid policy on the long run to bleed the little entrepreneurs. In my eyes a combination of lowering taxes and some better rules of where to pay them is the best solution for this problem. EU and US should put pressure on countries with loopholes (especially inside EU itself!) and lower taxes overall with the gain.

Your thoughts?

If you want to know about the number, I already had  an idea for retaliation weapon 3: a very large cannon to shoot Russia directly, but not sure it would get ready in time.

"Of course our space weapons would fall out of orbit onto earth, negating any danger of increased orbital degree"
I propose painting it black and white. We could call it retaliation weapon 4 (just a random name and number) and launch them from a mobile platform we hide in the trees (in case they bomb them.)

Nukes are very unlikely but Russian anti air might complicate an air mission. Boots on the ground is no option for various reasons. So they wait it out hoping the rebels win and the fanatics don't get the upper hand in that movement.

That sums it all up.

Allons enfants de la Patrie
Le jour de gloire est arrivé!

in dutch something like:

Kinderen des vaderlands luister hier,
de dag der overwinning is aangebroken!

It doesn't sound right in dutch but so does any anthem anyway.

Its not like there's one quantam like in IC (if its still that way, haven't played in 5-10? years)

Obama wastes more taxes then the rich can ever evade...its a lost battle. The only point in Keynes theory I agree upon: In the long run we're all dead.

"Well, I think a better ally would be China. If the U.S. and China were to form a political cartel, the two states could effectively rule the world."
Not true. Britain and EU are far more stable allies then China. Their cultures are far more similar and their intentions far more trustworthy.

China and US are each others main competitors for world dominance. They are logical enemies. Even if china becomes democratic, question is if that situation would change.

Well it IS Russian mafias money. Not sure if it will pay off in the long run to support them. hmm

Next to that, its also a fiscal paradise for many Europeans. I believe it should be prevented and at the same time EU taxes should be lowered overall to keep the money inside. All tough the high taxes on jobs should be dealt with first if setting priorities.

Out of curiosity, where do you go if you have a serious car accident?

"Oh, Kemp's an intelligent individual. That said, there's no point arguing with him in depth because:
a. He'll repeatably miss the point and then carry the debate around in circles
b. He loosely labels anyone he disagrees with some sort of insult"
I bet most people who had a discussion with him think that way. I picture him far to emotional/impulsive despite the fact he sure has the ability for rational logic thinking.
