no, once the kinks are out I think it will be very handy for most families (or maybe just the smart people like Smartys, Einstein, Brandon, Deci and thirdrock)

listen to me, the optimal strat for 9 player fams is 3 attackers 4 bankers 2 resourcers

or if you're an enterprising family, 4 attackers, 4 bankers 1 resourcer, 1 attacker also resourcing to make 2 resourcers, of course, the resourcing will have to take precedent.

now in regards to that, you have some options, you can take the rc 1 attacker like mad and build 1-2 bankers while con goes up, or you can max out with buildings for like, 5 people and use that to gain an economic boost. Another option would be to go with teams. Lastly, another option would be to go beat off on Jets, Artic and Glue in a FFA sausage cage match featuring Elr00b as the main event. (that last one is actually the one I'm sure most of you will go for)

no, seriously the first 3 are the best options for the families. I'd say if you're going to a lax round take the third option, if you're going for a good round 2nd and if you want a very interesting round, option number 1. Now my suggestion? Pick option 2, focus 2 people on cfs, or if you have a pop banker, go straight into pop (tbh it doesn't work well right away but the payoff hits around week 2 ) focus 1 resourcer with iron 1 attacker with half endu (full if you have the rez) and 1 attacker with rc's. You get 2 bankers with decent income (assuming 1 is partax 1 is rev you will most likely be obtaining what? some 4k maybe a little over 5k a tick) around 260 iron, around 200 endu (assuming you can afford it) and 1 attacker with rc's. Now I would suggest the rc attacker to build rc's before sor and send rest to bank or the attacker so he can build his rs'.

After all comes in you get a nice boost but not as good as some. However, around week 2 if you are lucky enough and active enough this strat will probably bring ahead of most fams.

Edit: if you go straight into pop as Rev, um, I think the ratio was 1:2 lq:to I could be wrong and 1:1 but then again I never did pop banking, but I think 1:2 and if you do that you should start with around 2k/tick maybe 2.2k/tick when they come in. I forget but I might take a look into it and do some numbers when I get the chance.
