It affects taxation and, more importantly, the function/value which we give marriage in society. Seeing as marriage and raising children form the basis upon which society is built, I'm leaning toward it effects EVERYONE.

I don't even want to post on this topic. Anyone who doesn't see how backward and god awful this is reallly ought to be shot. I mean that literally; it should be a crime punishable by death. I'm ALL about cutting spending and less government involvement, but this is the best place Obama could find? This is the most disgusting thing he's wanted to do. I'm glad the idea was shelved and wounded veterans won't be left trying to pay for their war wounds, but this is the sort of revelation about Obama's values that disgust me with the man.
