Obviously it's not going to be proven because it is not true. It's not even physically addictive like SO many harmful drugs. The people who want harder drugs tend to get their hands on marijuana first. It's not rocket science, it's bad science motivated by politics, racism, corruption, ignorance, and plain old retardation.

Bush is not a very bright individual. This doesn't change the fact that you are an exceptionally stupid child.

I'm not going to bother with people who just make things up and miss most points anyway. Of course it doesn't make much sense when it's beyond you. I would clarify some things, as if explaining them to a small child, but I'll save it for some cold day in hell when I feel like posting lots of information which you will not understand anyway.

Thank you for two stupid responses. Why do you bother when you know you're just being trolls and posting trash?

It's a matter of respect. Gifts are a sign of respect. A sign Obama is not showing. It's only disrespectful to go through the motions but to give someone a cheap and thoughtless gift they could get at any general store. Only Iluvatar categorizes a lack of respect as a sign of being "capable," and Nolio misses the significance of gift giving entirely. Good job. Now go to school.

You tell 'em Nolio. And Obama gave Browne an awesome and thoughtful gift which was not at all stupid and was certainly on par with Browne's thoughtful and historic gifts to Obama. /sarcasm

Call it what you like--and point out they ran it by her since they [effed] up last time and they were cool with it--it's still a thoughtless and silly gift from a President who we expect gifts from to be more on the level of what Browne presented Obama with.

We know you have low standards. He's the President. We'd like to pretend he's capable of something a little more thoughtful than this. I know he's not that bright, whatever you claim, but I expected better of his staff at least.

I disagree with you Zarf on the claim that civilian input into the war effort is heavily based upon the justification for the war. Those who sympathize with Iran will defend its soverignty and right to openly call for the violent destruction of Israel and the west and develop nuclear weapons. Those who sympathize with Israel/the West will defend their protecting themselves from a nation which openly states that the end of the West is near and is open about desiring an active role in making that end violent and soon.

Frankly, whatever other cultural values I may think this or that about, I do not respect cultures which mutilate their women. Kill 'em all.

Hahaha.

Don't mind the 10 year old. He thinks everyone picks their nose in public and privately makes hateful/racist/retarded statements that would doom their career if anyone knew they were dumb enough to make them.

Thinks that "Axel F." the theme song to Beverly Hills Cop by that german guy is the hottest thing ever recorded. He plays it often during sex. I kid. He plays it EVERY TIME.

The Taliban represents the Taliban no more than the "Mayor of whogivesafuckville" represents the United States? Yes, clearly.

Thank you for your ignorant Vietnam references. It's good when people are open about knowing nothing of Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. We don't want to mistake you for anyone with a clue.

Taliban response: "You sent her? Send us someone with a penis we can talk to."

Awww the retard made fun of me. I'm going to cry.

I thought he was open about the fact that he had no idea what he was talking about. I was just doing my part in sidetracking the thread as much as possible in the hopes that it would die already. 23 pages of garbage? Come on help me out here!

I think she realized he was actually retarded and tried to tone down her gift to match the junk he was going to give her.

lol China doesn't want the dollar devalued. They hold trillions of them. And with Barack al'Bama at the wheel he's going to borrow trillions more from somebody.

Competing currencies isn't a bad thing either.

When retards attack the dollar with everything they have, it's very bad for Amerika.

I don't need to be saved from myself. No one has the right to regulate my sleep, activity, food, sex, learning, or anything else because excess could be harmful. I'm not making any claims that marijuana saves kittens or that I'd approve of the mother of my children smoking it during pregnancy, but I can be honest about the fact that adults enjoying it responsibly aren't hurting anyone. And no one has provided any cause for taking away their freedom to do so. It's their lives. Let them live them. Everyone has their own to worry about.

People end up being ruled by an all-powerful central government because government only creates more government, never less. Those in power always seek more power, never less. That's why America's founders did all the work they did to LIMIT federal power. The problem is, it is up to an educated populace to keep them in check and not let them shit all over the laws in this country. Sadly, our populace is NOT an educated one [just as many others are not]. They're MORE attracted to promises of hand-outs and completely idiotic policy proposals than strong values and good ideas that actually work [just as many others are attracted to the wrong promises]. It's not a secret. It's not a conspiracy. It's a bunch of greedy people in power (they're the ones who seek power. shocking. I know.) seeking more power to no end. And a willfully ignorant populace giving it to them continually.

The point of this is not that the people need to be self-sufficient. Yes, that would be nice. But the technology you speak of (the existing technology, not magical, mind you) is very expensive. It takes a lot of resources and skilled labor to produce. And it needs to be maintained/repaired/replaced, so even with it no one is fully self-sufficient. People are never going to mine and refine all of the varied materials and learn everything there is to know about maintaining and repairing microelectronics or even regular electronics and mechanical devices. People are never going to all own the necessary machinery to work on microelectronics, regardless of their know-how. The point is that humans are social creatures, and naturally so. No one with a standard of living above that of Robinson Crusoe (not saying that's a bad option, just that the majority will never choose it) will EVER be fully self-sufficient. The problems with ignorant people and centralized power are NOT going to be solved by an autonomy of individuals we will never reach. More autonomy wouldn't hurt. It might help. But the level of it is not the problem and more of it, however good, is not a solution to the problem.

I hope he goes into the psychological dangers of pot. He'll tell us all about a family member/friend/ex roommate who was a complete psycho who happened to smoke dope. It should be embarassing and pointless, but hopefully humorous as they'd have to be pretty [effing] insane to make anyone cry.

I just think it's such a non-issue because SO many politicians snort coke and employ prostitutes. We just hear about the ones who aren't discreet enough. What's so shocking about Biden's daughter snorting some blow? We're the ones who don't care enough not to elect trash to represent us, why should we be shocked when the trash we elected is trash.

>>A man once talked about how his brother was killed due to a driver smoking pot.<<

I have no problem with restrictions on driving while intoxicated with marijuana, just like with alcohol. Drunk drivers have no excuse. Neither does someone stoned out of their mind. This, however, does not make pot or alcohol evil when used responsibly. Do you demonize people at weddings for having a few drinks while they celebrate [and DON'T drive and DON'T hurt ANYone]? I bet you're a lot of fun to be around.

>>Anyhow this man suffered the typical conditions. Paranoia, Delusions, anger issues when not on the pot<<

Sounds like the mental health [or lack thereof] conditions that cause addiction to many things.

>>the gaunt look typical to the hardcore pot addicts<<

You mean crackheads? Because there are PLENTY of people you'd never guess smoke. People are sensible enough to not reveal (and deny, if necessary) their smoking to anyone who does not share this relaxing, enjoyable habbit.

>>, and the total belief he can screw anyone else so long as he does not directly know them<<

Yes, clearly smoking a plant caused this lack of values in him. Damn evil plant. It wants to overthrow the government and eat children.

>>His memory was significantly affected of course, to the effect he forgot he had to go to court once and had a warrant for his arrest because of it. <<

The individual you described clearly suffered memory loss and a lack of values because he inhaled smoke from a marijuana plant. Certainly his apathy, laziness, and lack of values are all the result of this plant. Clearly he was an upstanding citizen before smoking the evil plant. Clearly the plant caused the warrant for his arrest, not his behavior.

>>He will say it is both addictive and dangerous to those who will ask.<<

That's his job. Nobody denies that it can be abused, just like ALMOST EVERYTHING ELSE. Food is not bad because people overeat. Sex is not bad because some people obsess. Video games are not bad because some people obsess. Pot is not evil because people abuse it.

>>Others of course broke into his place, stole his pot plants, and stole other materials of random value based upon some weird standards of theirs. <<

Of course. Because he ran with such a good crowd. Clearly their being trashy human beings was the result of the evil plant, not their lack of values and being trashy human beings.

Then on to your aunt. Your family has such strong and admirable values.

>>How many friends, family, or people I know do you need listed to hear how they went from pot to crack, coke, crank, lsd, speed, heroin, etc?<<

You have established that you associate with many trashy people. What is important to me is that I know 0 people who "went from" pot to crack, coke, crank, lsd, speed, heroin, etc. It's your choice to associate with people who do harmful, dangerous drugs. When I smoke a little marijuana with a nurse friend of mine or EMT friend of mine, nobody talks about drugs and nobody uses anything. We hang out and have a great time. We smoke a little while doing so. Big deal. OH NO. BETTER OUTLAW IT. THESE EVIL PEOPLE ARE CATCHING UP, SMOKING REEFER, AND... fixing video card issues on a newly constructed custom computer? OH NO. THEY MUST BE STOPPED.

>>I have seen 70% of those who started with pot goto heavier drugs since 'pot never hurt me, these wont either'<<

That you know people willing to destroy their lives with drugs who happened to find pot (it's easily available and cheap, so it's an obvious starting point in that path of self destruction) before they graduated to creating a real shitstorm with whatever else is only hurting your claims that pot caused them harm. They just happened to pass pot along their path of destruction. It says nothing of pot doing harm. It is evidence that they were intent upon destroying themselves, not that pot made them do it.

>>but the crimes that expand outwards from drugs, including pot, are legion.<<

Yeah, I remember the cigarette riots of '02. Serious stuff. Imagine if people bought joints like cigarettes. It'd be the '02 cigarette riots all over again!

>>If it is legalized however many more are going to use<<

Doubtful. There's a strong stigma resulting from ignorance of how to view it.

>>Full legalization would lead to large scale usage until society realized how harmful it was.<<

Doubtful. It is already legal in many parts of the world (and has been for thousands of years). Most of them view it has inappropriate, juvenile, and stupid to be "high" in public, just as we view it as inappropriate to be drunk in public.

>>Sadly many would be addicted, and then demand help getting un-addicted, meaning large government programs to help remove an addiction which should never have had a chance to occur.<<

Seeing as it is not physically addictive and I've known many people who smoked daily for months and years go months and years without it with 0 withdrawl symptoms (which is reasonable, seeing as there aren't any), I don't agree with the gravity of the nonexistant withdrawl symptoms. I suspect your experiences with drug addicts have clouded your perception of what pot does... or, well, doesn't do.

I'd do lines off her ass.

You don't know why people live in urban areas. You don't know why many ignorant and uneducated residents of urban areas embrace the promises [indoctrination] of politicians who use them as a base of support for their power. You're 5. Wait a few years, your brain has a lot of development to do before you can grasp these basic concepts and attain this basic education.

The only arguments in favor of socialized medical care are based upon ignorance and the desire for God to be ever-present to take care of all of an incompetent person's needs. Actual levels of care are disregarded in favor of the claim that all are given care. Forget the restrictions on benefits every taxpayer will pay for but not receive. Forget the waiting lists that result from reduced supply and increased demand. Forget the loss of quality resulting from pay incentives being erased. Forget the loss of advances in medical techniques and technology that result when there is only regulated, if any, profit to be made from superior medical care. Embrace the claim and stop thinking.
