lol @ Score.

No person with any IC sense, knows that it isn't a measure at all.  It's too heavily biased in certain respects.  If anything, it just tells a story of how your fam progresses through the round.

However, size wise - which is the true measure for EOR ranks - neither you nor AA's fams, have come 1st.

Congrats on this though:
"every round the fams ive been in have been either 1st or 2nd on one of the 3 scales of winning..... AA won last round with me.... on score..."

Great job mods smile

Good change on the feedback - afterall, this is what this thread is for.

And for all those people who ridiculed TYMO, learn your lesson.  He may have had the wrong approach - but what he was trying to say was noteworthy.  And if you read my posts, you'd see why the initial change was quite outrageous.

This one is good though - has something for everyone in it.

Also here's another point:

For me, it's not specifically about the "200% speed".  It's the speed relativity that's important.  To be honest, I don't care if you make it longer travel times to bankers or whatever, to stop people from raiding bankers (if that's what you think it's going to do...)...to "accommodate the smaller galaxies".

What's important for me, and always has been, is my relative speed to other attacker planets.  For instance, my portal might be 6 ticks away from you, but your portal is only 3 ticks away for me.  I've always chosen this over 80% difference in science.  Some people have, and some people havn't.  It doesn't make one race better than the other -  It's just different playstyles.

If the galaxies have been made smaller, and this is the justification for dropping 50% speed on a camaar, why not subsequently take away the extra race points from a custom race and cap the speed at 70%?  I'd be happy with that.  Infact, you can take back Infiltrate....oh, and even Sense DS.

Stfu nerd.

Anyway, Primo is right.  Everyone just needs to stop arguing here.

Camaar has now been made worthless as Wardancers.  Deal with it.

For those of you still going to go Camaar now in future, feel free to contact me or Lyvidian/Parrot/Rin (yes I'm dragging you into it), and we'll glady tell you the obvious flaws in the race and why you should not go for it.  Even if part of those Leadership workshops.

"We'll see how this change goes" doesn't really work.

I mean, who of these people that are arguing for the change actually play Camaar, (rather than just fight them)?

I for one, always used Camaar when I attacked properly.  But with this change, I never will.

Like I said, with the research fix in military, custom got a huge buff and a lot of gain on Camaar.

Hence, if you want to drop the speed to 150%, then you should also factor in that with small galaxies, research is also a key, and hence up Camaar Research to 0% from -30% (we don't need PI with the sci change - camaars charm is their inability to find lasers tongue) - But still, the science needs modifying if the speed has been brought down.  This seems like the only decent thing to do.  If this was to happen, then yes, I'd consider playing a 150% speed Camaar.

Besides that, I won't be using Camaar.  So how else do people plan on "seeing how things go" with this new race change?

If ya find a fam, lemme know!

Active attacker? - Since when was that a qualification.

Go go, Artic then!

Activity is overrated.

Changing Camaar is a bit stupid.

The 200% speed is the only thing they have going for them.  Droping them to 150% and giving them INfiltrate is really quite silly.  I mentioned it earliar in some thread, that with Military research being fixed, Camaar lost a lot of ground to Custom Attacking Races.  Previously Camaars would go fully RC to make up the differences, but now you have custom attackers who go fully RC - And then have really heavy cons, and realy hevy military.  Camaar can't compete with them.  The only thing they have, is the ability to get to portals quicker, or retakers, or raids - whatever.

People need to learn to use the advantage of their own race.  With custom, its usually the science (or sometimes magic etc).  Camaar have nothing else.  Giving them Infil is really trivial, as besides just being individually useful in early round, its really a 'team op'.  Meaning if ever you're alone as a camaar, Infil isn't really gonna help as much as say PI or something.

I always used to go Camaar - because I loved the speed.  But like I said, with the military research fix, if you don't go heavy research you can often get royally screwed (when playing against competent attackers) if you're heavily outweighed in the research fields.  The only way to overcome this is by being a sink for gc and funding heavy - and that takes a lot of fam resources.  It's possible in large fams, but otherwise, it often ends detrimentally if they're not producing resources.

With the difference of 80% research (-30% camaar, 50% custom), anyone would be quite stupid to take camaar over custom races.  The difference in research is FARR too great.

If you're a custom attacker and you've been outplayed by a Camaar, then you're not using your research well enough (among other things).  Similarly, if you're a camaar and have been outplayed by a custom attacker, then you're not using your speed advantage well enough.

People should learn to capitalise on their race strengths, and cover the weaknesses.  No need to muck around with the races to make up for peoples inability to take advantage of what they have.

With a 50% drop (to 150%) in speed for Camaar, and with the addition of just the Infilitrate Op - I will never go Camaar again.  It's just too heavily outweighed by the research difference.
