What's wrong with that?  In fact, isn't that sort of our responsibility as citizens of the world?<<

it certainly is the basis of the internet

> Alright, DP.  Thanks for answering.  Now, let's say the situation were slightly different.  Instead of being in charge of actually pushing the button, you would be in charge of some innocuous occupation at the death camp, like answering phones or doing paperwork.  You would never actually see any atrocities occurring, and would be able to maintain plausible deniablility that any such atrocities were going on.  You could still write your salary for whatever you'd want.  Your family would live in a nice house in town nearby; you could see them every evening. You could take vacations with your family.  You estimate you could retire in 20 maybe 15 years.

If you didn't take the job, you would be killed, but instead of your family being killed, they'd simply be forced to do manual labor for the rest of their lives at some labor camp.  Their basic needs would be met - food, water, bunks.... You know, a typical labor camp.

Would you take the job?<<

No, as a Catholic I am trained to believe that everybody dies, but the best death is being a self-righteous jerk while somebody else goes to Hell for killing you.

Although I do enjoy paying taxes for drone strikes, so I guess its a POV thing

Americans' insatiable demand for cheap crap  doesn't factor into your equation?<<

No, I dislike China and will gladly blame them

The point was that you have suffered a decline, and a fairly rapid decline, so that within the lifetime of people like Winston Churchill, his loyalty to the Empire was an anachronism in his old age.

In the US the obliteration of global political influence is already well underway and being hastened by stupid government spending on EVERYTHING funded by borrowing.

Harry Reid is the basis for the crooked Gaming commission chairman played by Tommy Smothers in the movie "Casino" and the exchange between DeNiro and Smothers in the movie is taken nearly verbatim from video of the actual shouting match between Ace Rothstein and Harry Reid when Reid killed Rothstein's license application

I will blame all China for it

Yeah, and I think the loss of Empire should be a factor in a discussion of the decline of the UK. or the speed of the decline of global powers.

Maybe you shoulda lost the Empire when Wilhelm asked you to? Come off it.

The only reason America had dominance was, we were useful.  That seems over with.

I disagree, the point of the Nazi / Jews scenario is that Jews didn't have it coming.

If Richard Branson wants me to go shoot somebody, what if I think they have it coming?  Then there's no moral problem.  Just the question of pension.

We've been declining since the 1960s by a lot of measures and the end of the Cold War has accelerated that process.  I don't think it takes a long time, look at UK 1890 and then 1940.  And then 1950.

Somebody had a good point...

If Romney didn't pay taxes for 10 years the IRS would be after him for tax evasion.   Democrats wouldn't be trying to embarass him, they'd see he was indicted and prosecuted.  It happened to Nixon's VP Spiro Agnew.

But what if the Democrats are the criminals?  What if a Democrat committed the felony of opening Romney's tax returns?

If they found something they think will embarass Mitt Romney, they can't release it for the public to look at, without confessing to felonies.
Charles Colson did 2 years for looking at Democrat tax returns to help Nixon get re-elected.

The only person who can lawfully publish Mitt Romney's tax returns...is Mitt Romney.

warning for trolling.

winner will be the first one to yell "Go home get ya [] shinebox"

"direct action"

"extreme measures"

"black ops"

"binge drinking"

Ryan was in House not in Senate.  Now he will be in the Senate tongue

ofc when the GOP betrays America by leaving Obamacare intact we will have to try "direct action"

I don't like his budget which creates a federal responsibility to buy everybody health care.

Still i wish it was Ryan as President and Romney as clean up

IF there's no "horse race" then there's no point in watching political coverage or any of the "experts" these networks hired to yak about how important THIS WEEK has been

Every week is IMPORTANT
more important than last week
More important than NEXT WEEK
PAY ATTENTION THIS WEEK MATTERS

until next week

IF there is no horserace all of that is a waste of time

consequently, there must be a horserace!

Cause without bitching about Obama , what has Fox got?  We found that out when Cairo exploded in revolt...everybody had to watch CNN like it or not, Fox can't spell 'Egypt' without hiring consultants
