5 minute tics maybe less, be hard to mass explore though if any less than 5 minutes really!!

You could make it a Universal Event since the game is written in such a way the only way to change tick times would apply to all galaxies. Would be cool or suck really bad tongue But it'd be different.

@alundra i dont know what other game u are talking about for starters.... and i struggle to find enough time for this one lol.....


and i also didnt really take into account the time it takes for a tic to refresh so i guess 5 mins wouldnt be possible... so the tic would have to be longer...

and are u sure u couldnt change the tic time for one galaxy condor?

what Gondor says is correct, the code cannot distinguish between the galaxies when it comes to tick intervals.

So changing one galaxy's tick will affect all the galaxies. I like where Gondor was heading though with a GE event. lol!

even so, adding a gal-id to the cronjob doing the tickupdate wouldnt be so much coding either.
and else stop patching things up in this game and start from scratch!

Haha, our lovely Devs have been updating code for a good while. Getting it streamlined, more efficient, and removing bugs. Lag isn't so much in the coding, as it is in the 13 year old hamster that's turning the wheel.

Arby: A very strict mod, reminds me of a fat redneck who drives a truck around all day with a beer in one hand. I hated this guy at the start, however, I played a round in PW with him where he went as an anonymous player. Our fam got smashed up and everyone pretty much left. Arby stayed around and helped out the remaining family. At the end of the round he revealed himself.... My views on him have changed since. Your a good guy.....
